Preparing thoughts for Endo appt on Monday
Hi, I have an Endo appointment on Monday 4 July I have been on 75/100mcg since 23 May. I plan to ask her to go to 100mcg but maybe to ease into it by going 75/100/100/75 for a couple of weeks before going up to 100mcg and then sticking. This is my recent history On 75/100 I had heart palpitations

Had a merina coil fitted about a week ago, now started to bleed and have cramping. Basically I’m having a period but a tad lighter than normal. Have the above meds for my holiday, it normally works and worried that with all the extra hormones it won’t. Also on hrt, anyone got any helpful advice. Ps dont

Update primary hyper parathyroidism
Apparently it’s only mild but many symptoms overlap with endo and menopause and the hrt I’m now on. Happy days. I now need a genetic test to check for familial something or other depending on the outcome parathyroid surgery is a possibility. Interesting the gp said that although you can choose your consultant

Osteoporosis and replacement hip….
I have severe osteoporosis and I’ve been told that I need a hip replacement. Is this possible if the bones are not strong to hold screws, rods etc?? Has anyone else been in this situation?

TSH and SHBG
Does anyone know much about SHBG please? I’ve had a few blood tests and all coming back with high SHBG levels (over 200 but does not state how much over as the lab just reports ‘over’). Doc is fixating on my TSH level (0.005) saying they think I’m over medicated but my T3 and T4 are within range and

How water foot massagers
Four weeks ago I had hip replacement surgery and because of limitations, I’ve had to find alternative ways of dealing with RLS and neuropathy. I found soaking my feet in a tub of hot water brought some relief to feet and lower legs. This made me think about how water foot massagers. Has anyone found

Do I have a hysterectomy?
I have suffered with pain since I was 11 years old and am now 38. I have had 2 coils, 2 laparoscopys, tried tri-cycling my combined pill for years, the mini pill, hormone injections and HRT. I have pain for 7-10days on a 2 weekly cycle and feel like my endo rules my life. I feel like I am not able to

Is this all in my head?
Hi Guys I’m hoping someone can convince me that I’m not losing the plot and making this up! I’m 42yrs old. In the last 18 months my cycle has gone from being very regular to being late/early and missing cycles. My mood has also changed, I feel far more irritable, less tolerable and experiencing low

Paper discussing combination therapy and gene identity
This newly out paper discusses the benefits of combination therapy over T4 therapy in several situations. It seems that some mutations favour combined therapy whilst others favour T4 only
