Hello Melaxx. I’ve been on HRT for 12 years at least. I’ve done fine. I started on a high dose and last 2 years I’m on low dose. So far so good and I never had a problem. The problem would do be if I were denied access to it! Best Titters

Note my diagnosis is Stills Disease which for me manifests as RD.I’ve been using HRT patches for 6 years with no issues only big advantages 😀

Yes me - had premature ovarian failure so had to start hrt at age 34. Now 50 and haven’t had issues. Make sure you keep trying until you get one that works for you — they all are different formulations and some really didn’t suit me.

Me too for last 12 years due to ovarian failure, felt much better on them and less flushes but I live in a hot climate and i switched back to HRT pills after finding the patches were not giving me a steady enough dose, and since then sleep better. Good luck hope they take away some of the side effects for you and you feel better.

I have been on it for 3 years without any problems. Like some of you lovely ladies the issues come without it. My mental state is horrendous. I become a very anxious and moody person who is not nice to be around. Better to continue for now. I do find due to my skin though I use smaller patches. Good luck. Hope it makes you feel better x

HRT is a life-changer! I was on tablet, then gel, now patch (due to supply issues). There are some contraindications if you smoke, have had DVTs or breast cancer in the family. Your gp will no doubt advise accordingly.

Yes, on HRT for about 8 years now. I never want to be without it! It took some time to get dosing right so all hormones are balanced. Also, I’ve tried several types and brands of HRT (patches, capsules, creams) and for me, custom compounded transdermal cream is the most effective with no side effects. I have yearly ultrasounds to make sure my uterine lining isn’t thickening. So far, all good.

I only spoke to my gp , she gave me the HRT without doing any tests ( like check hormones level, bloods ) I’m thinking to wait to speak to my rheumatologist to , I’m worry about side effects. 😊
