Erosive Osteoarthritis treatments, surgery, and other treatment options?????
I have been diagnosed with erosive osteoarthritis in 6 out of 8 fingers and was wondering whether anyone has had any successful treatments that have helped. I have been advised to consider having the worst joints fused, as they don’t think I am suitable for joint replacement surgery, I’m an artist and

Aching posterior
Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all having a good day. I have what might seem an odd question, does anyone suffer from extremely painful buttocks? I find I am not able to bend, straighten up without a really horrible aching pain. I have had this for a few years. The docs don't seem unduly bothered

Various autoimmune disorders
Hi all, I'm American, 65 and been diagnosed for many years with RA, Sjogren's, Hypothyroid, Carpal Tunnel. I take rx meds, supplements, eat organic and have little meat. I recently had successful hip joint replacement surgery and returned to my yoga classes, walking and dancing again. Latest health issue

Lupus /joint hypermobility / recent diagnosis
Her main problems are fatigue, hypermobility (daily
joint
dislocations
/subluxations) and lots of minor illnesses, presumably due to a low immune system. My daughter isn't one for support groups but I am happy to do so on her behalf! I would be very grateful for any tips/advice.

Joint replacement is not compulsory
Okay so it takes a long time for cartilage to regenerate and one needs to provide conditions conducive to said regrowth; in my case it took the better part of ten years of study and self treatment but I am happy that I did it the natural way. I kept in mind that natural healing uses natural methods whereas

Future triple arthrodesis
Greetings, It was suggested to me by my foot and ankle orthopedic doctor that I undergo a triple arthodesis to my Rt foot. I have a severe flatfoot that greatly overpronates (turns in) and my foot is off to the side. I do have difficulty walking and get numbness, burning and tingling with weight bearing

Joint replacement surgery & tremors
Has anyone out there had joint replacement surgery and did your tremors interfere with the healing process. It looks like I am headed for shoulder replacement surgery and it is on my Parkinson's side so I do have some tremors. I have severe degeneration of the shoulder structure, advanced arthritis

wrist arthrodesis- anyone had one
Hi, I have a date for a left wrist arthrodesis. I'm a bit scared. It seems like a successful operation and good for pain relief. My left wrist is pretty damaged from the RA and in constant pain. Often It's bearable and other times excruciating. I was told it would eventually fuse naturally but it could

Neurology referral
Finally, after having very weird symptoms for over 3 years, seeing hematology, rheumatology, immunology, infectious disease, oncology, radiology, nuclear medicine, sports medicine, joint replacement departments, dermatology and surgery. A pain doctor I saw last week asked if I had ever seen a neurologist

Understanding Needed Please
Hi I've been diagnosed with being on the hypermobility joint spectrum, apparently all types of hypermobility come under this name now according to my UK geneticist. I was being assessed for EDS. I had a patella realignment when I was 7 so I knew back then what it was like to have easy dislocations etc

Some Words of Encouragement. Severe RA and No Meds. right now. The Benefits of a Healthier Microbiome
Hi All those with RA. Many of you on this site have recently been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and your Medics are yet to find something to control the disease activity levels. That stage is very painful and very scary. This post is not about recommending what is right for you, or to encourage

Hypermobility Syndrome or EDS
I am new here and after seeing my rheumatologist for my RA, he diagnosed me with hypermobility syndrome too. I am just wondering what the difference between this and EDS is? How do I know which one I have? I have painful joints, fatigue and headaches, but I think that's just because of my RA. Thanks

Has anyone has experience of re-applying for PIP but have had joint replacements in the 2 years since first being awarded? And what was the outcome? Although I've had my knees replaced 🙂I struggle with my hips now 🙁
