Joint replacement surgery & tremors

Has anyone out there had joint replacement surgery and did your tremors interfere with the healing process. It looks like I am headed for shoulder replacement surgery and it is on my Parkinson's side so I do have some tremors. I have severe degeneration of the shoulder structure, advanced arthritis and tears in the rotator cuff and some of the muscles. I am thinking that the tremors may complicate the healing process. Thanking you in advance.

My neurologist says that the anesthetic makes your PD symptoms worse or can even bring PD on

I have had three ops since PD problems, a new hip joint, and two goes at my back, no problems with anaesthetic. I don't have bad tremors though.

My Parkinson’s began immediately after my first knew replacement. The tremors started immediately but disappointed after two months. The rest of the symptoms remained; slowness, stiffness, affected right side.i has a spinal for the second knee replacement and still felt horrible afterwards but did much better.

That should read “disappeared”. And “I had a spinal”

Does your shoulder problem respond to levadopa treatment? If it is relieved by sinemet or madopar I suggest you do some more investigating before going under the surgeons knife. Shoulder problems are extremely common in pd. surgery may help but for some people it just adds to their problems
