I'm American, 65 and been diagnosed for many years with RA, Sjogren's, Hypothyroid, Carpal Tunnel. I take rx meds, supplements, eat organic and have little meat.
I recently had successful hip joint replacement surgery and returned to my yoga classes, walking and dancing again.
Latest health issue-- premature face-skin sagging and deep cracks all around my mouth. Seeing new rheumatologist in January to see what to do.
Looking forward to hearing from others.
Happy & Healthier New Year to All!!!

Usually when we are hypothyroid we find we have more than one autoimmune conditions. I have three.
If you also have hypothyroidism (carpal tunnel can also be one of the many). If you haven't had a recent test, make one and it has to be at the very earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water). If you are hypothyroid and take thyroid hormone replacements, allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose and test and take it afterwards. There is a list in the link below.
Thakyou for all the great info. I get bloodwork done every 4 months by general md but seeing rheumatologist for more comprehensive bloodwork and asessment. I'm going to request the bloodwork u mentioned.Very grateful for your help
Hi there at the moment i have just 2 immune diseases which are Hashimotos and Celiac but wouldnt surprise me if i had another, my sister has 3- lupus, celiac, rhemutoid arthritis. X
I was seeing an Integrative physician that told me that autoimmune disorders are related by inflammatory conditions,so having 1 disorder can lead to others. Her remedy was food and supplement and lifestyle changes. My md supplues rx meds so I do it all and keep researching for more ways to help myself
Look, u r trying to b helpful and thats great but... Unless ur a dr. and I'm ur patient it can b dangerous to give me medical advise. Thats all I'm saying. Merry and Happy
I apologized. Your first response to this skin thing waa, U have human growth disorder-- that sounds like a medical statement. Only a dr needs to say that to their patient. Let's drop this
Hi karenmo, I've posted videos by John Bergman because he is able to explain what goes wrong when people have autoimmune problems. It is not the body that is at fault because it is always trying to bring back health, we just have to cooperate with it. If you have time to watch you may get some ideas about your own. He has many of these on you tube.
