GP was rude and need advise on next appointment with specialist and what to ask. Obliterated POD, immobile ovaries, fluid in tube, pain.
So little update... I am having a follow up scan tomorrow morn of my left Fallopian tube (last month I was rushed to hospital in agony and they found liquid in my tube but missed the cysts and obliterated pouch of Douglas - please see previous post about that). While I was talking to my GP two days

Magnet free exercise bike?
Does anyone have a recommendation for an exercise bike without a magnet? My other half as an ICD and a Pacemaker and must stay away from magnets.

Copper Coil
I had the copper coil
IUD
fitted a few days ago and ever since I’ve had a bad smell down there on and off and a light brown discharge... also I just transitioned from the pill and it was inserted on the last day of my period. What could this be? It’s making me miserable because I don’t know...

Worried I wont be taken seriously
I'm sorry this is so long - I'm really struggling with all this. I have always had pain with my periods, I first went to the GP about it when I was 16 - less that a year after they first started, because my mum told me that the amount of pain I was in wasn't normal. I went on the mini-pill for a bit

Natural cycles with endo
Hi everyone, I have been diagnosed with endometriosis for 2 years now and got the mirena coil fitted during my lap. I’m currently thinking about getting my coil removed and either going back on the pill or just having a natural cycle for a few months. I was just wondering if anyone has come of contraception

Bisoprolol
I have been on Bisoprolol since November 30th 2020. I was on 2.5mg and my GP agreed to lower it to 1.5mg due to lots of side effects. I finally spoke to my Cardiologist yesterday and he has agree to take me off them. He said stop completely as such a low dose, but I thought you had to ween off them?

Hi everyone, new to this site. Had ICD fitted last April after SCA. No problems since but still not had driving licence back. Apparently consultant hasn't completed the forms. I realise Covid 19 is taking priority - so much so that I haven't had a follow up with Cardiologists - but is this usual in your

Just placed on Entresto
Really interesting reading your replies. I have just been advised to go on to Entresto lower dose am and higher dose pm. This was due to low BP readings under 100. Will know my blood test results soon to decide whether I can tolerate higher dose twice a day. I have had a CABG and mitral valve repair

Mirena Coil blood clotting - endo
Hi, I’m 25 and 4 weeks post-op. I had the mirena fitted during the operation and experienced normal spotting for a couple of days. No bleeding for a while but now I’m on my 12th day of bleeding non stop! Started as a period then just spotting but still fresh blood coming out. My biggest concern is that

Risk of ICDs and living with an ICD
Hi, I am a 64 male and am new to the BHF community. Following a heart attack in 2019 and having a stent fitted, my cardiologist has advised having an ICD fitted. I am trying to weigh up the pros and cons of a traditional ICD and a subcutaneous ICD ("S- ICD"). From advice received I think the major downside

Advice needed please!
Hi guys, I’ve been referred to gynaecology for possible endometriosis, spoke to them yesterday and they think it is that. Not sure how to feel really, they also want to do a cervix check which I’ve never had as only 21, so pretty terrified, they said they want to check nothing sinister is there as they

Gonapeptyl - anxiety and palpitations
I had my first gonapeptyl injection after my lap to remove an endometrioma a week ago. First few days were fine then from nowhere I've started having sudden waves of massive anxiety, like sheer terror and strange palpitations. It does pass eventually but it wakes me in the night, comes over me just

Positive post
Hey , so this isn't going to be one of those if it can happen for me it can happen for you cheesy post. But I wanted to share a positive story with you all. Being 35 years old, BMI of 40 I didn't think fertility treatment was going to work. We went private, did two rounds of iui and two rounds of IVF

Mini pill & coil thoughts 💭
Good morning! I hope everyone is enjoying a pain free start to their days.. I was diagnosed with endo in 2015 and have had 2 children since. My last baby was born January 2020 and my periods came back in October and so did my pain. I’m on the waiting list for a mirena coil as this was recommended by

Help with next step after being told I have non viable eggs
Hi, we had one round of iui, resulting in miscarriage at 7 weeks, followed by one round of long protocol ivf, one egg collected, made it to 5 day transfer, grade A embryo but resulted in a BFN. I am 41 with an amh of 1. The clinic has said donor egg or adoption are my options going forward. Not sure
