Hey , so this isn't going to be one of those if it can happen for me it can happen for you cheesy post. But I wanted to share a positive story with you all.
Being 35 years old, BMI of 40 I didn't think fertility treatment was going to work. We went private, did two rounds of iui and two rounds of IVF which finally was successful.
I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant and the whole journey has been....a rollercoaster to say the least. Each step of the way with injections, drugs, uncertainty, covid...it's a lot and I totally get how so many of you must be feeling.
It was amazing to get that positive result but I'll be honest and say it doesn't all just easy then. I had early bleeding that I didn't know could happen but everything was fine, emotionally I was struggling, I didn't feel pregnant and tbh still don't a lot of the time even though I can feel him moving about. Plus I've had hyperemesis gravidarum so 24 hours a day sickness BD nausea and still have it....so it's been exhausting and not how it seemed in the movies.
I truly wish you all so much luck in your journeys and can honestly say reaching out to family, friends, local mum's groups and at one point a counsellor has really helped me during this process. Don't be afraid to ask for help especially if those around you don't understand what's going on...they really can't understand it x
