Mini pill & coil thoughts 💭

Good morning! I hope everyone is enjoying a pain free start to their days..

I was diagnosed with endo in 2015 and have had 2 children since. My last baby was born January 2020 and my periods came back in October and so did my pain. I’m on the waiting list for a mirena coil as this was recommended by my consultant. However my dr placed me on desogestrel in the meantime and after 5 days of taking it I felt awful I’m sure my milk supply decreased and I kept bursting out in tears and feeling super grumpy. I’ve stopped taking it but worry that the coil might have the same effect? I’m supposed to try another mini pill but dreading it. Anyone had any success with another type if desogestrol didn’t work?

What are your experiences? I know the mirena works for some and not others. I’ve changed my diet begrudgingly but feel better since doing so. Still early days.

Any advice/ experiences much appreciated!

😌

I’m currently looking for similar answers. I have tried the mini pill and after a year of on and off headaches, no libido and feeling like I couldn’t pick my mood up, I stopped taking it. I felt awful!

They have suggested for the 4th time now to try the coil but I just don’t know how I feel about it. I really don’t want it but it looks like I’m running out of options fast!

I’m not sure I want to go back to having constant headaches and really low mood. I’m not sure if the mirvena coil will be as bad as the mini pill😕
