I have a hernia on my scar site on my stomach which seems to be getting bigger. However its only really me that notices it. The lump I have in my groin is still

Hi, I've just been reading the NICE guidelines for IBS and came across this: "Laxatives should be considered for the treatment of constipation in people with IBS, but people should be discouraged from taking lactulose. [2008]" Does anyone know why this is? The reason I ask is I've suffered from chronic

HIV Diagnosed
Hi Everyone! I was diagnosed with HIV last December 1, 2015. My CD4 count that time was 395 so I decided myself to start taking ART medicine. To tell you honestly, I was really shocked with what happened. Until now, I really don't know what to do, I'm afraid to die. I still need to work hard for my family

How many calories to have a day?
Hello can anyone tell me how many calories I should have a day. I can't really excersise as I'm having a total hip replacement in 3 weeks and last year I had a total knee replacement. I'm 209lbs now and have cut down to 1100 calories a day but I'm not losing anything and just feel starving all the time

Colofac or Buscopan ?
Which do you find helps with your IBS cramps & pains the best, I am not sure either helps me, I think peppermint oil sometimes takes the edge of it a bit.

Back to hospital next week
Hi Thank you to all who replied last time I posted. I go in to hospital next Wednesday for a second total hip replacement. It was due to be done before I was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer so it was all put on hold. It has been increasingly painful . I will be glad to get it done but dread another hospital

Newly Diagnosed (maybe)
Hi All, I had an anterior hip replacement in April, had the typical swelling around surgical area and both feet swelling. The swelling went away when it should have, hip is good, all seemed well. A couple months later I developed both sided foot/ankle/toe edema +4. Waited it out, didn't go away. Other
