I'm really worried about anal bleeding
I'm 19F, 170cm and 50kg with no history of cancer in my family. I've had anal bleeding for years, at least 5 years and it would come and go. I'd say it first started when I was diagnosed with low iron anemia, i was given iron supplements that gave me very hard dark stools. I have a bad diet, my diet

Ferinject to correct iron deficiency and strange clicking in throat when swollowing
So I had very bad iron deficiency anemia for some time now. Iron tablets did not work well. So an internist decided to give me ferinject 1000 to correct it. I had 30 minutes of iron infusion and I was fine. Then after couple of days my throat was swollen and I start to have strange sensations. It's like

Iron Infusion in the U.S.
Hello wise RLS colleagues!Has anyone had Medicare pay for an iron infusion for their RLS? I meet the RLS guidelines for iron infusion, but I have been told that Medicare will not cover it because I am not anemic. If it was covered, can you share with me what code was used? I have had RLS for 20 years

Hypo symptoms worse when sitting?
Hi all! Had a quick query, and recognise the title might sound a bit bonkers! I have Hashi's, diagnosed in March, initially on thyroxine, but then moved onto NDT in September and have been generally feeling better than I was... I had a bit of a break from work for lots of reasons but started a new job

Ferritin Results Up!
I have been on 100mg Tramadol plus Gabapentin for many years but my RLS has been getting worse this last year. Following the latest algorithm I asked my GP if I could change from Tramadol to Buprenorphine and consider boosting my Ferritin by intravenous iron. He was not willing to do either but suggested

Been to the GP.
Hello everyone,I went to the GP after still feeling really ill. Dizziness, heart palpitations and fatigue along with low mood and anxiety. I had a blood test done the end of September time a few months after my symptoms started, which came back as a ferritin 6ugL, B12 as 300ng/L, Folate 4.1ug/L . Today

Thyroid or Pituitary Problem?
Sorry in advance for the long essay! Desperatly hoping for some advice. I am a 30-year-old female suffering fatigue, brain fog & migraine with visual disturbances since July 2020, therefore I stopped the COCP after a 10-year use (which was prescribed for the management of menorrhagia). Since stopping

levo side effects and alternatives
hi all I’ve written in her a few times and had such helpful responses so here I go again, I’m sorry but my GPs seem a tad useless on the thyroid function stuff. I had a TSH of 10.3 and within range but low FT4 so have been on a 50mg dose of Levo since start of sept. Since then I’ve had headaches

Always low ferritin, all my life
I have just got my Medicheks results back and again they show the usual problem of low ferritin at 65. I have been confused about the relationship to my serum iron result earlier in the year which was top of the range at 25.5 (top of range 26). However I have just read an article explaining that this

new blood results advice please
Goodmorning, I added T3 8mcg (5 weeks ago) to my levo 75mcg. I feel more energy and my belly fat seems to fade but I still have trouble walking longer than 20 min, my legs become heavy and i feel off. Maybe it is my anxiety, maybe it is the thyroid, i don’t know. These are my fresh results, any advice

Spleen pain
I am waiting for an appointment for a scan of my spleen as I am getting a lot of pain from it, more so since my iron infusion. It seemed to settle down for a few days but I’ve got up this morning and the pain under my left ribs is quite significant, in fact it seems to go right round to my back. I started

Low Ferritin and iron supplements & Iron Panel interpretation
Further to my post of 24.10.22 Endo increased my Levo to 75 mcg daily and advised TSH to aim for 0.5-2.5, when I mentioned low ferritin she looked at the blood test and said everything is within range? Said my symptoms of brain fog, swimmy head, heaviness and tinitis are unlikely related to thyroid
