Iodine rich foods
Morning All Does anyone who is hypo find a hard time tolerating iodine rich food?? All of a sudden I cannot tolerate shellfish. Could be an allergy but wondering as of the high iodine value it could be related. As everything with the thyroid seems to be!!! Thanks

Advice please?
Hi. I'm a hypothyroid male who was put on levothyroxine after radio iodine treatment in ever increasing doses (150mcg) when I last took them. The Levo made me feel quite awful, making me itch badly but giving me the most debilitating insomnia ever. Through research and going to forums like this I discovered

Symptomatic sickle cell trait
I recently had minor surgery on my great toenails; bilateral partial avulsion. They removed the ingrown portions of both of my big toes. Had the surgery on Wednesday morning, by evening I needed tramadol for the pain. I was booked in for a routine follow up for the dressings to be change on Friday afternoon

Thyroid Blood Tests with Comments
Could anyone help with comments on our blood test results? Yes, there are two of us, Meryl & Ian, with thyroid problems. Despite working on a paleo diet and vitamins, we are both still suffering from scalp Psoriasis, brain fog and a general lack of enthusiasm. This is frustrating, knowing that

Measuring iodine before you start selenium?
Hello all! I'd started selenium in an attempt to bring antibodies down (I'm following Isabella Wentz The Hashimoto Protocol) but then I realised that she says in a previous book that you should have your iodine tested before doing so, so I've stopped again. Is this the case? If it does need to be tested

Confused
Hi, I had hyperthyroidism for 5 years and then had radioactive iodine treatment. Subsequently I became hypothyroid and am on 100mcg levothyroxine. I feel quite symptomatic and my most recent results are- Free T4 21.8 TSH 4.14 Free T3 3.8. I am going to see my gp tomorrow because on paper those levels

RAI and pulmonary fibrosis
I have just had RAI - 5 GBq - and was reading about side effects on this site when something called radiation fibrosis popped up. This has terrified me as my Grandad, Dad and Aunt all died from pulmonary fibrosis ( the same as Keith Chegwin?) - my Dad's was triggered by a general anaesthetic and he
