Iron Levels
Hi, Not sure anyone can shed any light on my situation, I have ET and only take aspirin as I'm low risk. My GP called today after some bloods that I had taken some weeks ago due to previous high levels of iron. My saturation level is 46% which is classed as high but my ferritin level is 21 which i

RLS the saga continues
Hi fellow survivors As suspected, my GP refused to refer me for I/V iron suggesting that I persevere with the oral supplements for another few months. He said it would be nigh on impossible to get an infusion on the NHS but was willing to refer me to a private doctor (I think someone mentioned a doctor

Living with HF
Hi everyone, I am feeling very anxious at the moment. I had a bad weekend, as the fatigue was unbelievable and I could hardly get out of bed. I did think I was going to go to sleep and not wake up! I have improved today and not so tired (although I have just had a 2hr biddy nap!). I am getting anxious

3 grains of Armour Thyroid - a very high dose?
Hi everyone, I posted recently as I was a bit confused by my results - suppressed TSH but both T3 and T4 at bottom of range. Since then my endocrinologist has increased my dose from 2.5 grains to 3 grains, but said he won't be able to increase any further as this is a high dose for my size and weight

Not a good day
Been very up and down lately. My recovery from my NSTEMI last November was going pretty well up till beginning of June. Was almost back to normal, well normal for me, and then I had an episode at rehab where I felt very giddy and my BP plummeted. After that it was chest pain on decreasing levels of exertion

donating blood with CLL
I have been taking Imbruvia for the past 2 years. Have been diagnosed with CLL for 3. For many years before this diagnosis I would donate blood. Can I still do that. A few years before my diagnosis my iron levels were low so I could not. Was just wondering should I try to donate again. Thanks Cleve

iron infusion
I hear bad stories about iron infusions and allergic reactions. What happens if you get an allergic reaction and once you recover, do you feel better for having had the iron infusion

Can anyone help with iron panel interpretation please
This is a friendās recent iron panel Posted a couple of days ago but hoping for a better response this time Iāve looked on rT3 adrenals where it says a low transferrin level indicates a lack of capacity for supplemental iron. I really donāt understand this when itās clear her whole panel is low,

Pain in my lungs and ribs taking adoxaban
Hi all, Needed some advice , I had a PE in January, since then I took apixaban and had an allergic reaction so they switched me to adoxaban. I have been ok but I always get some unusual internal pain like in my lungs or ribs, the PE was on my left side so mainly there. I get pain in my left arm and

Any thoughts on my friend's thyroid results, please?
Hello all, I was wondering if any more knowledgeable folks had any ideas about what could be going on with my friend's thyroid results? They seem crazy - I don't understand how she can have a reasonably "normal" TSH level with such unbelievably low FT4 and FT3. She's a 41 year-old female, does not

I recently had the first of three iron infusions. At the time, aside from the fact the nurse had a terrible time getting a vein mothing remarkable happened. Two days later my joints were just burning, I had a fever and headache and just felt terrible . I canceled the next two infusions. The RLS
