Zometa
Insurance denied my Xgeva shot . Was told I had to do Zometa. Looking at the potential side effects ( stomach) Im not inclined. Been dealing with ibs and gerd for years and not really wanting to go with anything that will increase that situation. I've read that Zometa does nothing to prevent SRE events

Road blocks
Hi all,I thought I'd update you all. I went into hospital in the 20/02 to have my second last chemo before the BMT. Upon admission, I had a fever. After 4 days of fevers and a rash from head to toe, the doctors elected to postpone the BMT. So now the search is on to find out what drugs didn't agree

life Insurance
I wanted to get opinions regarding my life insurance 800K which will be expiring in a couple of months. I have the option to roll it over to a universal policy but it’s going to cost me 2K a month. I’m still Homone sensitive. And been on ADT and Nubeqa (daroludimide) for the last couple of years. Had

a safe antiviral.
Being that I was born with Solitary kidney and started on acyclovir when I started chemo, I’m trying to find an antiviral that doesn’t harm my kidney. Has anyone got some leads for me? Thank you.

Hello there, I’ve been dealing with this since 1/2015. I’ve had brachytherapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, cyber knife, immunotherapy, more chemotherapy, now taking Everolimus and letrozole. I’ve always felt that this was a chronic disease after the medications stopped working onto the next regimen

I finished 6 cycles of carboplatin/paclitaxel at end Oct and it seemed to have really worked on the cancer that is in my liver and peritoneum so following advice of my oncologist I’ve had a break as I’ve been on chemo of some kind or other since Sept 21. After a scan and in Dec he talked about me having

T + Chemo?
Hi guys, This may be a dumb question but my understanding of chemo is that it is most effective when the cancer is growing rapidly. Would it be of any use to kick up the testosterone way high to get everything cooking, and then hit it hard with chemo? It's in my future of course, but I'm just curious

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. My dad--81, advanced metastatic castrate resistant Diagnosed at 79 with stage 4 met 8 bones, including skull, no Gleason, never even saw a urologist. Diagnosed in ER and sent straight to the oncologist and palliative care doctor. PSA initially at 137 Lupron

Elevated Liver Enzymes
Husband on Triplet Therapy Orgovyx, Nubeqa and Docetaxel for Stage IV GL9 with bone mets. First chemo cycle completed. Second chemo was canceled as his ALT numbers were very high (305). AST also elevated at 94. ALP is within normal range. MO is recommending holding off Nubeqa for a week and retest liver

At the crossroads (again)
My profile is up to date, but, briefly, have failed chemo, ADT (am castrate resistant), failed Keytruda and now Pluvicto. Scans yest. & today show progression along with PSA rise. All my mets are in bone. So, my SOC choices are cabazataxel or radium 223. Other options are trial, which are a crapshoot

SCT starts next week
Had my last meeting yesterday with consultant and sign all the forms etc. All the organ function tests were ok with no problems and my spleen is only just palpable so no need for anything to be done about that. I am to be admitted on Monday 4th March and have Hickman line put in on Tuesday 5th. Then

Extremely bad acid heartburn
hi, On here about my mum again. She is suffering really bad with acid reflux. She hasn’t had chemo for 4 weeks but they did attempt debulking surgery which didn’t work. So we are not sure if it’s something to do with the blood thinners or she’s worried it is the cancer. has anyone else suffered
