I am still only receiving Zoladex injections every three months. I did try Abiraterone 2022/2023 and it failed after a few months. I have been trying to get my Oncologist to prescribe Enzalutamide. I have been treated with docetaxel again and thought it might re-sensitize me for another hormonal drug.
Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with a situation like this. My thoughts are that I should be trying everything available that could slow my progression. SOC at the moment does not really have any options for me other than the chemo.

Has your Oncologist told you that you are castration resistant? If so, hormone therapies no longer work, though they are sometimes still included in Chemo therapies.
I think it was a mistake to take that holiday. I've been tempted myself but my oncologist has advised me against it. I'm taking Zolidex & Xtandi now going on 3 years. I have lost a lot of strength, not able to walk more then 10 minutes at a time, but I'm able to ride a bicycle every day unlimited time. But when I get my PSA still going strong at .02. Tell your OC you have to get on xtandi with your Zoladex
I know it was a mistake. I had no idea what this disease was and how serious it was. You really need to educate yourself about your disease. I was young at 52 when diagnosed and kept busy working and spending time with family. I didn't spend much time researching my disease. I had a low PSA for 3 or 4 years and the treatments that I first had worked very well. Now it is uncontrollable and I am struggling to get some control.
I have been doing chemo since November. I have had 7 cycles of Docetaxel and another 7 cycles of Cabazitaxel. I am waiting to get on a trial for Lu-177. PSA has been up and down with the chemo. Scans show no new signs of progression though.
