Labour pain Vs period pain endometriosis: similarities?😱
Hello I have stage 4 deep infiltrative endo and I've finally managed to get pregnant with IVF after 5years of trying. I'd be soooo grateful if fellow endo ladies could enlighten me. Midwives are clueless about endo😔 I was set on getting a planned c section, but I'm now thinking about a pool birth without

Got my 1st Esophageal Banding treatment soon, do you think Strepsils/otc throat sprays will help after??
Hi ya, thanks for all the advice the other day regarding what I should eat after banding. I've now filled my fridge and freezer with bright and fresh, soft and bland foods. I'm sitting here worried sick and am wondering if I should order like Strepsils, Numbing Throat Sprays, lozenges, certain teas anything

Hip pain
My hip pain is awful. I have bought a heat mat and wrap it on my hips and it helps enough to get to sleep. I have had to get one with a timer so it shuts off. I also take painkillers- i didnt think about a topical painkiller though - good shout i will try that too

Boils, Carbuncles and Abscesses
It has been such a long time since I have been in this space or written anything. I had a really nasty flare and and continuous colds that I thought it would never end. Since last year April I have had reoccurring boils and carbuncles. Due to Covid-19 I have not seen a GP because they would not allow

Can anyone help?
Heya everyone, I am new here 👋 I am 22 and from Guernsey Channel Islands. I've had RLS since 2015. Its severe. I have it everynight and very rare but have had it during the day. I've tried magnesium, meditation, exercise and ropinorole tablets up to 4mg nightly. They were horrible. Had an appointment

Final stages of tapering
New to this forum! I am an otherwise healthy 67 year old male (apart from some osteoarthritis), who has experienced GCA and PMR over the past two years. During the GCA phase, my prednisone dose was 55 mg/d. I have been tapering down fairly successfully, until recently. I am now at 2 mg/d, but experiencing

Starting Ropinirole as a first med for RLS?
I have had more severe RLS since last March, which is possibly a Long-Covid symptom. So far I have had my iron/ferritin tested. My ferritin was on 25 initially but has gone up to 45 after taking oral iron supplement which I still continue to take. My RSL has not improved much yet though. It is still

Question about Oxycodone-Acetaminophen 5-325.
Disclosure: I am going to call my doc in the morning, and I know it's dumb to ask people about pain medicine online. Here's the question. How long does it take it to kick in? Does it work like an Asprin? Or do I need to take it a few times to get into my system? I wanted to get some ahead of time

Confused about chocolate cyst
Hi- I’m new :-) After a referral for an ultrasound for heavy periods it was discovered I have a 5cm chocolate cyst on my left ovary. The gynae also says I have endometriosis which they told my husband at my c section 11 years ago but was never followed up. I can’t say I have horrendous pain. Occasionally

Pain medication
I'm taking Duloxetine 120mg as struggling with depression. Was on Ibuprofen for pain but didn't think it worked until I started Naproxen. It's now like I may as well be taking nothing. The pain is worse, everywhere plus I am so exhausted I struggle to move. I eventually get out of bed when I need

The Value of a Good Compounding Pharmacist, a True Story
Although I generally write about supplements, sometimes supplements are simply not enough and prescription meds can be beneficial in different forms that doctors and patients are sometimes not aware of. To ignore that fact is folly on the patient's part in my opinion. I am writing this true story to

SUITABLE STRONG PAIN KILLER?
I am new to this condition and still learning about AF and the many and varied symptoms and treatments. I am thankfull for having the cardioversion quickly during the Covid pandemic which appears to have been successful. I wear a watch which monitors my heart rate which rarely goes more than 100 BPM.

Quest Target achieved, 10k of continuous running.
We had near perfect conditions for our run this evening, nice temperature, dry underfoot, no rain and very little wind. Katnap and TailChaser lead me out of town down the greenway (which was surprisingly free of bicycles, small children, pushchairs and dogs). I have run down there before but tonight

I’m unsure?
Hi, I’ve recently come off my pill and get really bad period pains when my periods starts. (this was one of the reasons I went on the combined pill). Im unsure if I am worrying over nothing because lots of people get period pains or whether it could be endometriosis.
