I noticed pain in my heel of one foot several weeks ago but came and went for weeks so thought nothing of it. But at the moment the pain is constantly there just at the bottom of my foot and heel. Hurts when walking. But today I’m sat and it’s constantly there. It feels like the pain is coming up my leg. Does anybody have this or understand this?

Heel pain
Think it’s called Plantar fascia . I have heard of this pain. You need to go to a chiropodist or your GP.
The thing is I have diabetes type 1 and I’m wondering if it could b to do with that. But yes thanks for your reply I shall call my GP
Yes if you have diabetes then I would say very important to see your gp . I hope you get better soon. I have a lot of feet pain , it’s horrible to be in so much discomfort.
I spoke to the GP this morning and he said yes it sounds like plantar fasciitis. @rabbits65
He said about seeing a physiotherapist and podiatrist. Nothing can b done to treat it except painkillers really
Try a heated heel pad
The two messages were to you sorry dint make it clear. Thanks
I’ve got a heatpad. Quite big for my feet but il use it😂
I’ve also ordered socks made especially for this problem hopefully arriving tomorrow
Sid123, try Pernaton gel OTC from the Chemist. I am on loads painkillers from GP but after trial and error found this gel and it is excellent. I have osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and spondylolisthesis. Good luck and let me know how you get on. X
Plantar fascia can take some months to settle down, mine did, but I do recommend seeing a Podiatrist and getting proper shoe inserts which will help enormously. Good supportive lace up shoes are a must with plenty of underfoot cushioning. I wish you well and remember it will improve over time. Stay safe and be happy.
I had plantar fasciitis two years ago. It’s horrid, and I feel for you. I went to podiatrist who gave me exercises which helped. I also found a shoe company online called Vionics, who sell shoes especially for people with this problem. They are expensive, but they solve the problem! I bought a pair, which were bliss and wore them solidly for about 6 months. I also found putting rock tape on heel and found a ‘how to’ on UTube guide brilliant and it resolved in time. Gabor sell shoes that are very supportive of feet as well. Am very careful even now about wearing really supportive shoes. Vionics do great insoles for this as well. Take care, it will go soon. 🌺
