Off Baricitinib and knee replacement
Hi I'm feeling tearful. I've been off Baricitinib for one week yesterday as I'm having a total knee replacement next Wednesday 13th (I had my left knee and hip replaced in 2018 before being diagnosed) and had to use walking sticks since. Already my feet and ankles are swollen and it's painful to

The pain oh the pain!
I am at this minute in pain from my endometriosis. Today it is affecting my right and bit of my left pelvic area. It feels like a hot burning poker is prodding my pelvic area and then pulling the tissue down. I've tried a piece of ice wrapped with a towel to numb it, but nothing works. Does anybody

Hey All, I have been on this forum for a while as I was trying to figure out what was wrong. I'm 24 but had issues since I was 18, and was always told it's just bad period pain or I need to loose weight. Was formally diagnosed with PCOS last year after being tested for it 3 times since 2016 and always

Microvascular decompression
Microvascular decompression gladly took away my pain of Trigeminal neuralgia. I may have to do it again in six months, but we’ll see.

Pain management alternatives
“Things I learned along the way” … in the event this may help others, I thought I’d share … If you or your loved one is struggling a great deal with pain, you may want to consider 1) having a pain pump placed 2) acupuncture. As my Jeff’s pain became harder to manage with his drug regimen, we were referred

Getting diagnosed
I’ve recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia by gp. Got to see a specialist in a couple of weeks. They won’t give me any stronger pain killers than naproxen. But I can’t cope I’m in agony as soon as I wake up till I go to sleep, I have a 16 month old who I can barely pick up or even sit and play on

Surviving endometriosis

Fractured wrist
Good morning everyone. I need advice please. My partner managed to fall yesterday (fell off a high kerb while looking to avoid traffic) He’s fractured his left wrist and is now in plaster in a sling but been told he may likely need an operation to pin and plate it. He’s in a great deal of pain, understandably

? To denerve or not to denerve?!
I’ve had preliminary local anaesthetic jabs, one side, (no steroid) in lower facet joints via pain management clinic. This is to try to identify whether it would be valuable to try denervation. Really hard for me to isolate the pain and to know how effective they were over approx. a 24 hour period.

Still Waiting
I’ve been in agony for ages, it all started last April, pain in my lower left side that started as a dull ache but just got progressively worse. It’s around the hip, buttocks, lower left leg and sometimes as high as under the rib cage. After keeping a pain diary I’ve noticed it does flare up around the

An unfortunate series of events
Hi I’m in a bit of a dilemma. Recently several things happened to me in quick succession. 1. My RA specialist ( locum ) advised me to reduce my MTX doseage. 2. I had a heart attack and my anti- inflammatory stopped ( naproxen ) I am now experiencing what I think is a flare ( shoulders / neck / back pain

Covid vaccine and methotrexate - interesting article 📰
Morning Peeps 🙂 Thought some of you might be interested in reading this article from The New Scientist 27/6/2022 It discusses stopping mtx for 2 weeks after a Covid vaccine, which I have read a lot about on here. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2326185-coming-off-methotrexate-doubles-antibody-levels-after-covid

My Jeff, a beautiful life
Sunday, June 26th, Jeff continued to rest at home. We were so very grateful that his pain seemed completely managed and we didn’t have to fret about his hurting. The hospice nurse visited around 10:00 a.m. and considering the circumstances, Jeff was “ok”. His oxygen levels were actually up, his heart

Do I have a hysterectomy?
I have suffered with pain since I was 11 years old and am now 38. I have had 2 coils, 2 laparoscopys, tried tri-cycling my combined pill for years, the mini pill, hormone injections and HRT. I have pain for 7-10days on a 2 weekly cycle and feel like my endo rules my life. I feel like I am not able to

In so much pain from passing large clots… I really hate my uterus. Fed up! 😢
My usual dose of painkillers isn’t working for my adenomyosis & Endo pain this month. I came on yesterday. I think this month is extra painful because I took the Norethisterone to delay my period for my holiday and I regret taking it so much if that’s what’s causing this unbearable pain. Been in tears
