PET PSA etc
Reading some of the recent posts has me thinking again about a couple of issues. So I thought it made sense to ask the group for confirmation, ideas??? Not sure it I mentioned/asked before but... I have started seeing a medical oncologist as recommended on this list. I do like his "take it slow" approach

Hi everyone, My partner was diagnosed with stage 4 nsclc in October 2015. After unsuccessful treatment with chemotherapy she was referred to palliative care by her previous consultant. I went private to get a second opinion and found a great consultant who enrolled her on a early access to medicine

Hi all Just a quick update, hubby is now making progress, still in
intensive
care
, but they have removed the ventilator. On kidney dialysis but hopefully that will come good too. I know we have a long road ahead of us but I honestly was scared we might not even get the chance to go on it!!!

Timelines/ palliative care
Hello, sadly I have just been told there is no more treatment for my mum, the cancer has spread in her shoulder bone, brain, lymph nodes and abdomen. The dr has not given us any timeline, I’m just wondering what happens next? I think the palliative care team take over as contact at the moment I’m not

Sadly, Christmas isn't fun for everyone
What will you be eating this Christmas? Tom's been eating 900 calories a day since his bariatric surgeon gave him an intragastric balloon. Arthur can barely remember a day when he wasn't on some sort of diet. And Lizzie is still the same weight she always was, despite obsessively weighing herself every

Sitting in
intensive

now and praying 🙏 hard for a good outcome. Dr said if he bleeds again the liver will crash! They have him packed up with swabs and he will need to go to theatre again to get them removed. I’m so grateful to the donor and family for this chance but I’m terrified.

Gut affected by Scleroderma
In July, she had renal failure and was admitted to
Intensive

shortly after her first dialysis with all her major organs failing. The condition has affected her guts severely and is unable to drink or eat. She is constantly retching and vomiting bile which is getting worse.

Not sure what to do
I am so unsure what to do. I have worked hard all my life and finally landed a job in the medical field, but after 15 years being fairly stable with my health anxiety and GAD I have fallen, I have been struggling so bad for a few months. Back on medication but it seems slow to help me, I feel like I’

Oligometastatic PC and Radiation
Hello all. My 68 year old husband had a routine physical about six months ago that showed a PSA of 77. His PSA had not been tested for seven years prior (which infuriates me). He then had a biopsy that showed Gleason 9 (4+5) prostate cancer. Twelve samples were taken; only one sample was benign. Two
