Hi Apologies for the long long post I have Diabetes type 2, Thyroidectomy, B12 deficiency, Calcium Deficiency. I constantly feel unwell with foggy brain, aches and pains and fatigue. Everything is always blamed on high blood sugars. They never seem to look past me being a diabetic which is frustrating

Help with blood results
Can anyone help with these blood results and tell me which other supplements i may need. (These were taken on 1st april). Having more done tomorrow but folate and b12 won't be included. Just to add these ones were done 6 weeks after my jab as the nurse didn't actually bother doing the b12 & folate before

I have been eating raw food since 7 months.. I want to share yesterday's incident. I had dinner at 7pm & for dinner i ate raw salad & raw leaves (spinach, mint leaves, basil, curry leaves).. My bsl after 2 hrs was 41 which was 200 before dinner.. of course i had taken 14 u of insulin before dinner.

Week 14
This week: weight change -0.25lbs waist change -1" 1920cal/day, 57min activity/day Hardly any weight change, but not surprising after last week's -5.5lb. Also this week I've eaten much more than previous weeks, I've been hungry. Great news about the 1" waist loss, I'd not lost anything off my waist for

A little weight loss and great benefits.
Obese individuals who lose as little as 5 percent of their body weight can improve their metabolic function and reduce the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and heart disease, a new study has found. Many current treatment guidelines urge patients to lose between 5 percent and 10 percent of their body

Many people on this forum are looking for an ancient cure for their type 2 diabetes, be it Ayurveda, acupuncture, herbal mix (in a bottle or home made) etc whilst keeping their fingers crossed. Well, there is an ancient cure and IT WORKS! Bob Briggs is an advocate, as is Dr, Jason Fung. Here's a short

Mechanism of action of metformin, most widely used anti hyperglycaemic drug.
Metformin is a hypoglycemic drug effective in the treatment of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and increasingly used in Canada and Europe. Effects on intestinal glucose absorption, insulin secretion, and hepatic glucose production are insufficient to explain its hypoglycemic action, with most

Insulin or Glucose testing?
The following information will be of interest to those who's fasting blood sugar is impaired though not in the diabetic range ie pre diabetic. It should also give the heads up to those who are overweight and whose blood sugar is 'normal'. The first video discusses the work of Joseph R. Kraft - father

Treatment
I am a 67 years old diabetic. Was prescribed Lanctus insulin plus glucored forte 10 years back. Since a few years back I felt that the Tablets were not working I stopped the tablets and continued with a larger single dose of Lanctus (self medication). I strongly feel that the tablets are only to help

Gut or intestinal bacteria and diabetes type 2.
Presence of certain bacteria in the gut may be linked to development of type 2 diabetes. Type2 diabetes is a serious metabolic disorder. The disease causes the body cells to lose their ability to respond to insulin, hormone that controls glucose uptake. This leads to , even with adequate insulin,a high
