hi frnds my age 26 i am diabetic of last year  fasting  325 PP 420 drugs has wosulin insulin morning 25 units evening 40 units my job has setting no physical work. i avoid rice . i a eating chapati and vegs also but sugar is not coming under control  please tell me what i do. still my sugar level is 200 . please suggested

already your BS level has comedown very much. try LCHF diet.further BS will reduce.

continue medication till BS level normalises.

pls do some sort physical exercise , walking , at your age body can b brought to control easily. read articles in this forum extensively. fear not.discipline yourself. u will b alright. all the best.

Diabetics live long, shielded from many troubles if living well. Insulin is cheap now and inj syringe near painless. So shake away the negative thoughts. People used to take injection more often. Now two enough. You will live longer than the time taken to find a cure. While doing yr sitting job try to laugh and feel happy inside. Forgive everyone. Don't hesitate to say sorry. Yr pancreas will begin to work again. 

The gopis of Krishna ate lot of Butter. Eat lots of it. Very little roti or rice. Plenty veggies and protein. Rice and potatoes Boiled and refrigerated for over 16 hours. ROTI -  you seem to be city based. See if Big Basket has Jiwa Diabetes flour.  It also has Khapli Gehun and one chapati each twice a day are enough. Eat more green tomatoes as red have sugar. Make kuchh ber with Cucumber and loads of garlic,  green chillies, onions, coriander, mint, parsley. As much as u like. Deep fry Karela in coconut oil and have it as  snack, with plenty of red chillies and black salt, dried raw mango powder. Celebrate diabetes. You closer to God now, more religious.

Whether non or vegetarian a diabic patient should avoid to the maximum extent possible any carb rich food like rice, pottos etc and totally rule out anything sweet in the diet. Dose of medicines or insulin depends on the blood glucose level and insulin resistance.

Please go for a balanced diet and some form of physical activity. A regular fast walk for half an hour will do. If that is not possible ,then go for some yoga and respiratory excercises.

I am afraid you might be having Type 1. Anyhow, kindly provide complete lipid profile of yours. There is natural way out for this. Some times, LCHF would increase your serum Triglyceride which in turn increases blood sugar.

Kindly go through all of my comments in this forum. Take time to understand what is your problem. Please do not get confused with what others are saying. Kindly try to reinvent your own wheel.

I was in Yog Gram,Patanjali ,for 8days and the Yoga and Diet which they have prescribed has done wonders.

Istamet ,50/500 ,which I was taking 2 times in a day has been reduced from 15th.

I work out for 2.45 hours every day. Controlling my diet.

HBA1C is 5.08 only.Fasting came down to 103/05.

Yoga I am doing for 1hour.

Feeling better .

I will keep you informed about the progress.

'What to "DOOOOOOO ?" ' is a fine and apt question ! ;~)

Consider the 'lay' of the land; become more familiar with the 'territory' ( - than you are already); seek the views of those who are already there, & perhaps have been for much longer; appraise a RANGE of views & options appropriate for you; consider ONE ( - or two ?) which make reasonable sense . . . . . and try that/those as suggested, with any sensible adjustments, reasonably scientifically; then you will, in time be a little further along this 'path' . . . . . . where from the whole process may be repeated ! ;~)

Welcome to your world of on-going discovery - there is no rush, . . . . . . the destination to which we're ALL headed is the same ( - at least in THIS life !) !  ONLY the personal QUALITY of LIFE along that journey varies considerably from one 'traveller' to another.

You have to decide once and for all whether you want to go by bus or train- little bit of bussing and change over to train is not working well.

For you energy needs, change over from Glucose/ Insulin base to Amino. No point in pondering with how much of wheat or rice. LCHF is a Godsend – take it and live with it.

i wonder who put munibala straight on insulin before trying other means like diet change,exercise,reduction in body weight and oral drugs.

My pp was >400 when first detected. I haven't so far taken insulin.

Since you are young the first line of treatment should have been food. I was having PP reading of 320 when I was diagnosed at 27 years of age.. I was never prescribed insulin.. I m now off all medications with low carb diet and have non-diabetic a1c numbers..

Take very little carbohidrate may be less that 100 gms cooked in one day, Have a positive mind and be happy with no tensions more veg and acceptable fruits and salads. Do some walking about 30 mts daily to start with. I am sure you will be fine

I am not sure how old is this post and whether Munibala still on Insulin as i havn't gone through the complete chat. 

Last time when i was diagnosed with diabetes with Hb1ac count 11.5 my doctor by seeing me ( like my height & weight) he said as per result i should take insulin immd however, by seeing me physically he suggest to take metform and some lipid improvement medicine for a month and if tht doesn't work i would start taking insulin..

Meanwhile i came across this site and started following LCHF in continuation with given medicine and now he shocked to see the result my Hb1ac got donw to 5.8 almost half and Believe me LCHF works.. I suggested same to my mother and even she got benefit from it....  SO start following LCHF the first thing u need cut down u r carbs intake and BS will fall automatically..

I have read about your diabetes.I think first thing first : ACCEPT you are a diabetic.Next do not try to crash your glucose levels.Let it reduce gradually with help of medicines the doctors prescribed and a disciplined diet and exercises.Do not be so much anxious about your condition.But make sure you adhere to regimen,exercise and proper medicines so that you do not suffer high glucose level off and on. If this happens often you will damage some internal organs and or vision.

munibala9, your condition can be reversed completely. One important aspect is to follow the LCHF diet, with that alone, you will find your insulin requirement decrease.
