Low B12 levels
it’s not an area I know much about with a B12 level of 433 (187-833) would I qualify for B12 injections?

still confused about my iron results
I’ve now redone my iron panel with medichecks and have similar results to last time. I can’t work out why my ferritin continues to drop. And what I can do about it as I know I need higher ferritin levels for optimum thyroid hormone function. …………………………… Ferritin……….Iron……….. Trans. Sat………..TIBC……….

Suppression of TSH but low T4/T3 levels whilst taking Levo/Lio Combo
A few years ago, my thyroid results were looking a lot better but NHS GP over the last 2 years has told me to reduce my dosage twice (because of the 'risks' of overtreatment). I'm now on 100mcg levothyroxine (75mcg supplied by GP and topped up by myself) and 25mcg liothyronine (self-sourced). I now don't

Newbie and confused. Functional B12 deficiency?
Hi everyone, I am new here but I have been a member of the thyroid forum for many years. I've also just joined the Sjogren's and the lupus groups because some of my symptoms could be attributed to these though I have no diagnoses, and the Changing Faces group for my rhinophyma. I have Hashi's and thyroid

B12 prescription cancelled by pharmacist
Hello - I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency around 15 years ago. My GP at the time said that I had Pernicious Anaemia and was unable to absorb B12 from my food. Apart from a gap in 2016 when my then GP said that I had too much B12 in my system, withdrew the injections for a year which resulted in my

Ferritin and Iron
I found some information below about Ferritin and Iron - it is from the Dr Mercola website. I have just had my ferritin levels and iron levels checked - The Doctor said they were a bit on the low side so I am taking some gentle iron. My ferritin was 50.9 - I never heard of ferritin before having RLS

B12 Manufacturing Process
I was reading a post about an Etsy shop offering injectable B12 doses so I decided to research where B12 is manufactured. I found this really interesting site and thought others might also find it interesting. https://quadram.ac.uk/case_studies/an-environmentally-friendly-vitamin-b12-production-method-that-makes-manufacture-more-affordable

What’s the protocol for GP actioning full iron panel?
It’s become apparent that my daughter’s ferritin levels are deficient and she’s going to put in a request to her GP for a full iron panel. I routinely read here that one shouldn’t supplement with iron based on a low ferritin reading alone but I’d like to know what the supporting information for this

Active B12 levels
I read that : The normal range for active vitamin B12 (holoTC) is around 20 – 134 pmol/L (picomoles per My recent blood test states my active B12 level is 83.2pmol/L but states this is optimal. (medichecks) Do I need to supplement this?
