Just need some advice on self injecting.
Just need to come up with a safe plan for what to do about my B12 injections. After several years of symptoms like chronic fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, pins and needles, sore lips, dry skin, breathlessness etc I was finally diagnosed with a B12 deficiency in 2011. My B12 level was 154. By this

Iron infusion
I had my first iron infusion yesterday. I will be going back next week for another one. I would appreciate any advice, thoughts or comments. I did mention to the hematologist that I would like to get my iron up to 300 but he said you will not attempt what he called “iron saturation”. His aim is to get

How fast is brain iron deficiency restored after IV iron?
Hello everyone. In January I got transcranial sonography done and they found brain iron deficiency. I had ferritin at 150, TS at 30% so they gave me 500mg ferric carboxymaltose. We are planning to repeat it. My question is, those who had BID diagnosed, after how many infusions did RLS pain go away? Did

Need Help For My GP…
I am having an ongoing discussion with my GP about giving me the dose I need for my deficiency (EOD). It has been mainly positive so far, during my appointment yesterday he did acknowledge that he knew little about this malady, he would also need to chat to his partners and get advice from a specialist

Iron and ferritin advice requested
I have recently had a full set of iron and ferritin blood tests completed and would like some advice on the numbers, please (prior to these tests, only my ferritin levels have been tested). They result from early morning fasting with no iron supplements for one week. My serum ferritin was 160 µg/L.

Ferritin
I know that Ferritin is stored iron but I’m a bit confused about how Ferritin and iron correlate. Is it possible to have Ferritin in range but low iron - and what would be considered optimal Ferritin? My level has just been tested and has gone down from a stable 88 to 34 I’m sorry to be so dumb

Hello friends 😊 Following my last tests (a bit over 2 months ago), I added vitamin b12 drops 3 days a week, have cut down my B complex to 1 capsule, and I taking a separate Folate supplement as this was getting quite high, and it was pointed out to me that it is a "Goldilocks vitamin" when trying to

Vitamins D and K7
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism nine months ago, and prescribed 50mcg levothyroxine per day. No mention was made of Vitamin D results or any related issues like ferritin,or B12. I take Vitamin D 2200iu throughout Winter, and, as of October 23, after some online research, added Vitamin K2, 100 ug.
