Vitamin B12 deficiency after a decompression surgery
One year after my sugery i ended up with PA. So recently began my vitamin B12 injections. Now on my fourth weekly shots. At the begining i didn't seem to experience any change but instead i was more constantly nervous with brain fog. I can now begin to experience less of the symptoms slowly. I guess

London & SE B12 neurologists
Can anyone recommend Neurologists in South-East England who specialise in B12-deficiency or are at least experienced and sympathetic about B12? Thanks in advance.

Hi PAS friends. Please help with my diagnosis
I think I may have functional neurological disorder and possibly PA. I have a massive number of serious physical, neuro, and mental health symptoms over many years. Via path results: Serum b12 304ng/l. Range 187-883 Active b12 51 pmol/l. Range 25-75 indeterminate, 76-108 normal MMA 304. Range 0-280

Iron overload
I know it's not technically thyroid problem per se but as iron is related to thyroid I hope people know more about iron. Last summer I had iron panel, can't remember all numbers but I will dig them up if necessary. Ferritin was 31 (10-291) Serum iron was on high end the range but not over range. Transferrin

B12 Deficiency - a definite listen-to video
Posted in the past. Why I'm interested in B12 is my mother died through doctor telling her that she no longer needed B12 injections as her 'bloods were fine'. Both my sister and I thought that was good (no internet then) but that decision caused my mother's early death with a slow deterioration in overall

Active B12 Blood Test
I've been recovering from vitamin deficiencies for almost two years now, and I'm curious if anyone has ever had an active b12 blood test instead of the standard b12 test and if they had it done on the NHS?

B12 anxiety.
Is it normal to feel unexpectedly anxious and have sleep disturbances after your intial b12 Injection? Isn't b12 supposed to make things better

Inherited PA? Should B12 and Folate deficiency be treated together?
Hi I'm suffering with B12 and folate deficiency and have recently had my first loading shots. My grandmother had pernicious anaemia and had monthly injections. My own mother was recently in hospital with Guillain Barré syndrome, and now has chronic neurological symptoms/damage in her legs. After reading

B12 & FOLATE LEVELS & INJECTION QUESTIONS
Hi All I would be very grateful if anyone could help answer a few questions I have. I suffer from B12 Deficiency and currently have 3 monthly injections. I have noticed for some time when I have my injection there is a slight improvement with my symptoms. I have finally decided to pluck up the courage

Advice on low ferritin
Hi everyone, I have questions about low ferritin levels. I have Grave's disease and had RAI one year ago, so now hypothyroid. Having issues with T4/T3 conversion and found out I have low ferritin levels of 23 but serum iron is normal at 105. TIBC is on the highest end of normal (forget my exact number

Folic acid mask b12 deficiency?
When it is said that folic acid can mask the presence of b12 deficiency, can anyone tell me how is it this would occur? Would false b12 levels return in blood tests, or would the patient be less symptomatic temporarily whilst damage continues to occur unseen?

Serum Iron and PA
I don't know how it is elsewhere but over here in Finland you get access to all lab manuals. So checked instructions for serum Iron and iron panel. Some lab states serum iron can be high in PA (I assume untreated) and low when on B12 injections. So if this true is it low because rapid use of iron on

Should iron be taken with food or away from food?
I know thyroid hormone is best taken 4 hours away from iron, calcium, Vit D, Magnesium. And iron should be taken away 2 hours away from all supplements. BUT my question is should iron be taken away from food or best with food? I usually take Vit C with iron to increase absorption. ALSO, I read some

Serum iron dropped considerably w/ B12 loading doses... Should I take iron?
About a week into taking B12 loading doses I went to get tested to see what it was doing to my iron levels and honestly was surprised that my levels had gone down. I have some variability in my energy levels still but seem to feel progressively better every day. Just out of curiosity what is likely going

're testing my b12
I have been on loading doeage for b12 because I had b12 deficiency. My last one is on Monday then she said to me after two weeks they will send me for a blood test to check my b12 levels, is this too soon to check after loading doeage? Tia
