Active B12 Blood Test

I've been recovering from vitamin deficiencies for almost two years now, and I'm curious if anyone has ever had an active b12 blood test instead of the standard b12 test and if they had it done on the NHS?

I've only ever had this done privately - not sure NHS do it as standard, but it should be possible. Have you cheked with your GP?

I'm going to be arranging an appointment with my local GP again, but I've heard from specialists that arrange private active b12 blood tests that referrals are limited.
