How long will it take for the B12 jab to work
I had my B12 injection about 4 days ago and feel even worse than before it, B12 deficiency the same as pernicious anaemia? I was also diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia, together with fibromyalgia I am feeling rubbish. How long will the injection take to work, please?

My B12 story
Hi everyone, happy to find this forum. Long post alert. Btw my first online medical post. Itching all over body started way back 2010 . There was no rash or nothing. But worst itching. Even multiple bath it didn't go away. A clever doctor suggest that to take bath thrice. It continued. The struggle

Is there a link between Hyperparathyroid disease and inability to absorb B12
I wanted to ask if anyone knew of a link or association between Hyperparathyroid disease and B12/Folate deficiency. I have had my parathyroid tumor removed successfully, but now have many symptoms of B12 deficiency, and wondered if there was a link?

Does regular B12 injections as frequent as EOD lower ferritin levels?
Is this true or another erroneous facebook forum statement? Here is the statement:- B12 will deplete ferritin/iron not raise it. In very simple terms b12 makes new red blood cells which in turn requires a lot of iron. Ferritin is kinda your body's store cupboard for iron and any time your body requires

Fred the iron molecules tale : The end
This will only make sense if you’ve read my previous post https://healthunlocked.com/rlsuk/posts/146515820/fred-the-iron-molecule-and-rls-a-story. There was a question in this post and I promised the writer of the best answer a chocolate muffin. It’s my opinion that the best information was provided

B12 Testing
My GP tested my B12 in late June and it was 248. She gave me a B12 (Cyanocobalamin) injection on June 30th without doing any other tests. I then went to see a neurologist and she couldn’t believe that the GP had not done more testing. The neurologist has me scheduled today for the following tests: B12

Base line labs for B12 Deficiency.
I have been getting B12 injections every 3 months. With that I have recently being taking B12 supplement tablets 1000ug daily. (Helps me get through the 12 week wait). So... Now I have asked for a blood test to get up to date lab readings. My next injection is in August. Should I stop the daily supplement

B12 and Stool Consistency
Anyone know if B12 deficiency can affect stool consistency/content such as making it more watery or where it floats in the toilet?

Low iron but normal ferritin levels. Iron tablets?
Hi. My symptoms of RLS have become noticeably worse in the last 9 months. I had my levels tested in March this year and my ferritin was 35 and my iron was 6.7. I was given an iron infusion which raised my ferritin to 172 and my iron to 8.1, which is still low (11 to 18 is normal). I noticed my RLS symptoms

High B12 without injections - Symptoms of deficiency
TL;DR: Has anyone had levels of B12 above the standard reference range (while never having had any B12 injections) before getting diagnosed with PA?
