High b12 level

Hi to all, I have had high b12 levels for 3yrs.

Blue horizon B12 Range. ( >567)

Blue horizon blood tests results.

2018. 735

2019. 1342

2020. 1311

2021. 1272

Nhs. B12. Range. ( 200.-900.)

2020. 1532

2021. 2000 (3rd Sept 2021.)

I am cutting long story short, the B12 blood test was done due to me being persistent, which as come back at

1100 above the range.

Folate was also done the only answer I got was OK.

I recieved a text from the surgery & now waiting for a gp to phone.

Should i now proceed with having a active B12 blood test done.?

I tried goggling high B12 symptoms but can't find much about it.

Harlech, please note that this forum is about B12 absorption problems so not really much we can do to support you.It may well be worth getting the active B12 test done - the ratio should be about 1/5 active to serum.

It may just be that you are an outlier in relation to the normal range - its based on where most people are okay not on where everyone is okay.
