Has anyone done a daily regimen taking Imodium in the morning and the evening? 1 or 2?
This is the most frustrating ailment I've ever dealt with. I would love to feel like I was "in control".

Hi. You don't say what you are dealing with. I assume it is diarrhoea. If this is new you need to be checked out by doctors. If you have had all that done and nobody has mentioned Bile Acid Diarrhoea (BAD) I suggest you look it up and see if your symptoms match. There are other conditions of course, but my experience is with BAD, untreated for over 40 years, but now under control with the help of a gastroenterologist.
I believe Imodium is a safe option, but what a pain to have to rely on it for a normal life.
Have your doctor prescribe you any of these 3 meds: Welchol, Colestipol, or Questran. ALL will stop chronic diarrhea in it's tracks. I take 4 tablets a day of Colestipol...2 in the morning and in the evening..and i have my life back after years and years and years of not being able to live a life because I couldn't leave my home before 2:00 in the afternoon because I was glued to the pot. I worked with it at a company and would mess myself many times and have to go home and change...it was just the most awful thing!
Agree with Whitesugar if its new or you have not had a diagnosis please see your GP.
Moving on I have confirmed IBS-D and my Gastro said I can use Imodium long term but I only take it when I really need it and I suggest you only take it if your GP/Gastro says so.
