Thirty-seven years ago I had intestine resection surgery because of Crohn’s disease. Recently I had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. There were no signs of Crohn’s or colitis. Still I have symptoms of Crohn’s. Because of the shorting of the intestinal tract I have persistent diarrhea. Imodium AD helps with diarrhea.

my daughter had this surgery due to a perforation a year and a half ago - she is still not having a normal poo - have you always had diarrhoea since surgery all those years ago? Good news no chrones spotted on colonoscopy - my daughter was told it could return within 10 years after surgery so you sound lucky in that respect
