Hi everyone it’s been awhile since I’ve been here. So I have a question I’ve taken the RAI pill two years ago and I’m on 112 mg of my Levo it has Sodium in it. I also have early stages of Cirrhosis and I don’t have any trace of Hep-c so I been reading up on my meds and noticed it will make my liver worse so I called my doctor and no answer yet I told them I want something else with no sodium in it. He knew my condition it’s like I’m living a slow death what else can I take ?

Levo and Sodium
You're on 112 mcg (microgramme) of levo. Without getting into molecular formula and atomic weights we can be sure the amount of sodium is minute, ten or twenty millionths of a gramme.
We do need salt too . Salt is a mineral and our hearts need it .
My liver don’t need the salt I have early stages of Cirrhosis that’s why I asked but I talked to my doctor he said it’s not the same as table start and to keep taking my meds. I Scratched my head on that and thought ok I’m dying a slow death
Your doc is right, it's not the same as table salt. And even if it was, the amount is so miniscule there's no way you would be dying a slow death by taking it!
In a 100 microgram levothyroxine tablet, there is an amount of sodium approximately one twentieth the weight of one single small grain of ordinary salt (from the levothyroxine sodium).
Of course, salt does vary but I am talking about a grain of table salt.
