Medrol
Hi :) In two weeks, I'm going to start taking Medrol (methylprednisolon), corticosteroid, due to my liver problems. My hepatologist told me that I will be on 32 mg at start but then during 2 months I will be geting down to 4 mg, and then I'm supposed to be on 4 mg for 6 months. Does someone have experience

The 6 Dietary Tips Patients Need to Hear From Their Clinicians - The research is out: diet matters. Here's what patients need to know.
[Poster's comment:- This is the latest advice being issued to USA professionals for dissemination to their patients. Whilst it is generalized, with an anti-obesity slant, there is nothing contradictory to the perspective of OPA members; apart from adjustments for meal size and timing (and possibly supplementation

Gluten and Aluminum Content in Synthroid® (Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets)
Before reading another word - look at the funding! The paper defies logic - they claim the maximum dose of aluminium from a tablet is 137 micrograms - which is way below the FDA-determined minimal risk level. Which in itself might provide some reassurance. It totally ignores the possibility of the patient

Advice greatly appreciated
Hi, last year I started to feel really rubbish and after some research online about my symptoms I figured it was B12 deficiency. I was given a blood test and told this was in the normal range. I wasn't satisfied at this as I knew all my symptoms were pointing to this so asked for a copy of my test

Cramp!
Help please. I'm currently reducing my steroid dosage by the very slow method recommend by many on this wonderful site. So far so good I'm down to 8. Were still away from home being 'old age travellers.' My problem has started this last couple of days when I'm walking. Horrendous cramp in both my feet

Thanks to DicCarlson for the info on the Adrenal Cocktail!
I started using it a few weeks ago and it is marvelous - just the thing I needed. There are a few variations out there, but basically it is sodium and potassium for helping the adrenals which are stressed, not functioning properly (one of the problems they cause, which is pertinent on this site, is

Summoned due to test results
I've had a phone call to go to the Doc to discuss my blood results. Apart from the high B12 (jab 2 weeks before) and the high Folate (was high on previous test too), I can't see anything out of range, unless I'm missing something obvious, unless they are worried about the Folate. Normal Doc is off sick

Nightime Problems with Cramp.
Night Cramps can be helped with a lot of salt on half a tomato and a big drink of milk, i.e. Sodium, Potassium Calcium. Plus walk about in high heels for calve cramp until milk, tomato & salt work, takes about 7 mins.

A little help with my Ibs
I take Buscapan for the tummy cramps,
Imodium
for diaorreah and senokot for constipation. All these tablets can't be helping. I now have developed a burning pain and grumbling in the tummy. Have had blood tests even the CA125 which is the ovarian cancer one. All clear.

I am so angry.
We talk a lot on here about how we are not listened to. For the most part I have defended health professionals unless they are truly incompetent, but this week I have been pretty distraught and not about my own condition. My 28 year old son was until six months ago a relatively healthy young man. He
