Hi Lonna 7. Have you had your iron levels checked?

I haven't in the last few weeks but I have had them checked when I was poorly back in march which was normal, do you think I should ask for that next? Chest X-ray came back clear aswel so it can't be the infection still lingering. Thank you for your reply

Hi. Always ask for a printout so that you can decide for yourself how "normal" it is. You may be only just in the range, yet my GP told me that most people experience symptoms if it is below 30. Bottom of range is 12, so you could be 25, ie "normal", but still have symptoms.

Also I have read somewhere that cancer feeds on iron, so it is worth keeping an eye on.

Hi- yes your TSH is too high at 2.6, That has two issues for you. First it means that your active thyroid hormone t3 is too low, that is what is behind a lot of your symptoms. Second - I believe after thyroid cancer your TSH should be suppressed or as close to zero as possible to avoid any stimulation of the remaining thyroid tissue, putting you at risk of the cancer coming back. You need to talk to your oncologist or whoever is in charge of your cancer treatment.

Thank you so much for your reply i defiantly think my local gp just doesn't listen when I'm saying I don't feel right I had issues to start with they never believed I had lump until I demanded a ultra sound that discovered the cancer I gonna book in with someone else and raise my concerns, I knew I wasn't going mad and felt not right! when they say blood comes back fine it knocks you down here I am thinking am I just lazy.
