Hello all (Quick background) Diagnosed Limited Cutaneous Systemic Sclerosis and Secondary Raynauds. Saw my rheumatologist today and spoke about my worsening GI symptoms, she suspects bacterial overgrowth in gut/intestines. Just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this? What treatments are available

So upset
Literally just come out of the doctors for my ibs and about how just to get to work everyday I have to take Imodium since November. I’m stressed out to the max right now and I’m not coping great. And his response was it’s fine to take Imodium everyday and sent me on my way. Sat in the car crying. Having

Weight gain from sodium
Hi everyone, Can you all help me out here? As we all know, we retain water when we eat too much sodium. Through your own journeys, can you tell me your experiences, for instance, if you ate something with a lot of salt one day, about how much extra would you expect to.see on the scale the next day,

Magnesium Information
Hello all, In preparation for my appointment today with my cardiologist, I did a bunch more research on the micronutrients I've shared about in other posts. I've been curious about magnesium, knowing that it's supposed to be helpful for AF, but always confused about which type is best. Here's what I

When food is medicine, what makes a decent snack?
As a patient, I approach NAFLD and NASH with a food as medicine strategy. I believe in the idea that with a damaged organ making it work as little as possible is the only rational plan. For now, let's assume that you are eating a liver friendly diet but what do you do for those in-between times. A snack

CHICAGO PBC/SJOGREN’S MEETING RECAP
We had a very successful meeting on Saturday. There were 54 people who attended, if the room was larger, we would have invited more people that also tend to also have Sjogren’s, like my Scleroderma group. The Congressman, Sean Casten, and a District Director by the name of Anne Wick attended. Mr.

How do you treat joint pain?
I’ve been having pretty bad pain in my hands and knees. Besides having CLL, I’m a Type 2 diabetic (though my A1C is near normal). I had joint pain before starting Imbruvica in late December, but recently it has affected more joints. Of course I see my doctors regularly, and take a med for the pain and

NHS Endo test results - all normal - thoughts please ...
Hi - I have finally been to see an NHS endocrinologist. It felt like something of a 'tick box exercise'. How are you getting on so far?
I've seen HMs continuing to appear in my Strava feed - AWESOME! I've had a couple of setbacks, but mostly feel OK about things and am still chugging along. I know I'm
not the only one who's been struggling
, so my bestest wishes

GFR improvements possible?
I’m 58, my GFR in June was 73. I had an acute episode in Nov my number dropped it to 41, this was due to a flu, lack of sleep, using 7 different over the counter drugs for 6 weeks while working. Then 2 Prescribed drugs, and dehydration. My general doctor was panicked. I took a test two weeks later

Which med???
Am currently on Rebif. Has been my med since diagnosis 8 years ago. After discussion today with my new neurologist, will most likely be changing. What are your experiences with Ocrecus, Tysabri, Tecfidera, or Gilenya?? I think I am leading toward Tecfidera but still researching and contemplating
