oocyte activation
We had our final planning consultation today for round 3, and we’ve decided to go ahead with oocyte activation following total fertilisation failure on our last
icsi
round. Has anyone got any success stories?

Third fresh failed (6th embryo) 😢
This was our 6th embryo that has failed in a row on our journey for a sibling for our little girl (she was the result of our very first fresh round
ICSI
almost 4 years ago!). Since having her I have never seen a positive pregnancy test and it's been the most heartbreaking journey.

Change clinics after failed first attempt?
They said all eggs looked healthy quality but only 4 fertilised ( they said
ICSI
plus calcium might be tried next time, no male factor, I think they think it’s my stubborn eggs)😏 Out of the 4 that fertilised, we got 4 day 5 embryos ( 3 became blasts).

Im 39 and managed to get 5 eggs from 3 follicles, 1 got through to a 5 day blastocyst which resulted in a fresh transfer through
ICSI
. Hoped so much it worked as I have a blocked fallopian tube and a low AMH/reduced ovarian reserve but it wasn’t to be 🥺.

So some of you will know my history, we had success on our second
ICSI
cycle( first fresh transfer) back in 2021 and after a healthy pregnancy our daughter was stillborn at 34 weeks. we have been continuing treatment since May 2022 in the hope of conceiving a sibling for our daughter.

Lifestyle changes for fertility
We've had 3 failed
icsi
so far, now embarking on private. It's more of a moan and looking for reassurance that this is normal to feel this way. We have finally got more answers and sense in one consultation then 3 years nhs. They suggested Mediterranean diet, certain supplements to help.

2 rounds of ICSI both low fertilisation and failed
We had our first
ICSI
in 2020, we were told to do
ICSI
as my husbands morphology was low. I’ve had a fertility check were they deemed everything was ok with me, tubes fine and good AMH for my age - I am 34 now.

IVF and work (teaching) and stress, time off for appointments. UK
IVF and work (teaching) and stress UK I resigned from my horrible secondary school teaching job this summer and then found out our
ICSI
was starting (brought forward. I am currently unemployed. The nature of the appointments is very little notice.

Need mental help or support about sharing the ivf procedure with parents and in laws
I'm Indian 36+ ttc since 2016 and moved to UK in 2019. 2 iui + 1ivf

FET failure. My parents torture me to the core to share all the details of my process and everytime I tell them they have no rights to ask and I'm not obliged to tell, they start up their drama of being silent.

A positive journey so far, awaiting transfer on Sunday!
My partner and I are having
ICSI
at the moment after trying to conceive for 3 years. We did our egg retrieval this week. They collected 22 eggs and 19 of them fertilised on day one and all are doing really well (day three update with a minimum of 6 cells each).

DuoStim ivf / icsi
Looking to see if anyone can share their experience of doing DuoStim? Where you do 2 stimulation cycles in one back to back. After egg collection you have a few days off stim then restart towards another collection. I am considering it, my clinic is happy for me to do it (on my request) just unsure

Embryo grading
The 4 higher graded ones are through
ICSI
and the 2 lower graded ones (4CB) are conventional. My gut is to try to transfer the highest rated embryo, but y husband feels strongly about trying to use a conventional embryo, which are the lower graded ones.

Some advice please!
My third cycle (
icsi
) has resulted in an amazing 6 embryos being biopsied (will be 2-3 weeks awaiting results) I was so excited to have six for testing after my cancelled cycle. It felt like actually getting to transfer was possible. However...

Is an extra 30 week scan offered for IVF pregnancies?
I'm 15 weeks following IVF with
ICSI
. Pregnancy is low risk, I'm 32 with normal BMI and, as far as I've been told, all the tests from the 8 week midwife appt and 12 week scan have come back normal. Following the 12 week scan, I booked in the standard 20 and 36 week scans.

Starting IVF ICSI in Jan - Feelings
Hi all, sorry if my post goes on forever. I’ve been contemplating for a while about posting but I haven’t know what to say. I’m 35 and husband 41 and after tests in Aug, it was realised we’d need IVF. I’m really fortunate to have a work benefit through private healthcare and will be using that. Following

Should I delay, or go ahead (IVF)?
We’ve just had 1 round of IVF (
ICSI
) and all 3 embryos that we had failed to implant. The decision I need to make is should I crack on next month and start the process all over again, with egg collection being on the 26th June etc.

Should I use ICSI with a sperm donor?
The embryologist told me yesterday that the clinic uses
ICSI
by default (it’s an extra £1,350), but I can choose to have standard IVF if I wish. She said that the fertilisation rates for
ICSI
and IVF are broadly similar.
