Can’t decide
B) total
hysterectomy
with ovary removal, he’d prefer to leave this as close to the age of 51 as possible as it would highly increase my risk of heart disease, osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s.

I understand a
hysterectomy
is not a cure and as it’s a big operation I want to find out more regarding their reasons for pushing for this option but they’re not being very forthcoming.

Advice please
Hi, I am due to have a
hysterectomy
in October. Ovaries are going too and there's a strong chance of bowel resection due to recto sigmoid endometriosis. If anyone has any advice for recovery or can share their experience I would be grateful. Thank you Aimee

Recurrence :(
I was initially diagnosed in October 2021 with stage 4 HGSOC and had 6 rounds of carbotaxol with a total abdominal
hysterectomy
and omentectomy after the 3rd cycle.

hysterectomy advice
Surgery would be a complete
hysterectomy
but obviously there would be assistance from potential other teams (colorectal team). Has anyone had the surgery and if so any pros or cons? The injections work so far as to my periods are very slight and much less period/ovulation pain.

Post menopause, pernicious anaemia and endometriosis
Diagnosed with endomeriosis over 15 years years ago, had Prostap injections for 6 months, with little success and opted to try Mirena Coil first before
hysterectomy
. Mirena was a god send for me, it was great at controlling my symptons, I've had 3 mirena coils in total.

Endo and fibroid issues
Talk of a
hysterectomy
. Worried about bowel complications and possibility it may involve resection. Pouch of Douglas 'obliterated'. Fertility journey ended unsuccessfully, but
hysterectomy
seems so final. I'm 43 so was hoping for a few more years before menopause.

prostrap injections
I am listed for a total
hysterectomy
but start (thursday!) prostrap injections to see how I would cope with no ovaries (with add back HRT) and to check the effect on my terrible ovulation symptoms. I was wondering if any of you can give me any insight in to your experience of propstrap please?

Could it be MS?
Adding to my backstory, after I had a
hysterectomy
in Oct 2020, my labs indicated high liver enzyme levels.

af and endrocrinologist
I am prediabetic on metformin and had a full
hysterectomy
a few years ago. I am not on hrt and have had no menopausal symptoms. Would seeing an endocrinologist be beneficial in anyway? I am trying to see if maybe there is some underlying cause bc nothing else has worked.

Has anyone here discovered they have endometriosis/and or adenomyosis at a later stage in life? Just found out at 50!
I now face a
hysterectomy
which is going to be so difficult as I’ve just become a self employed PA for a wheelchair user, I’d have to be off for weeks (maybe months?).

Pain relief. How do advocate for myself?
I'm currently on the waiting list for a total
hysterectomy
for stage 4 and will be my 4th op. I've been on strong opioid pain meds for 11 years using them to varying degrees depending on my level. I've tried everything that's ever been offered but now I'm done.

HE4 blood test
Mine was 29 the night before my
hysterectomy
. That was in 2020 and the CA125 since then has been in the single digits even when it recurred in 2022. My June 2023 CT scan didn’t show evidence of the disease. Doc is also using the HE4 as a marker. It’s 126 now. It’s been steadily climbing.
