Advice
I suffer with quite extensive abdominal adhesions due to surgeries and possible endometriosis, I suffer pain & bloating daily as well as all the other symptoms that it brings with it. I went out last night (rare occurrence) and I had a few drinks also rare, I drank what I normally do which is larger

Overweight with a high BMI
I have stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis with bowel and bladder adhesions and cyst's on both ovaries. My consultant is really good, however he has specified that I need to get my BMI down to 35 or below before I'd be considered for a full hysterectomy (I've already waited over three years for one)

Does anyone have experience of this surgery? At my consult over a year ago the MRI showed only a small

Adenomyosis diagnosis
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with Adenomyosis last September after suddenly starting to flood during menstruation which I initially put down to being perimenopausal (late 40s). I was sent for an array of tests and advised to have the mirena coil inserted. I had the coil inserted and was diagnosed with

Hysterectomy
Hello. I hope you are having a peaceful Saturday. I wanted to ask for advice from any of you that have had, or have considered having, a hysterectomy for Endo. I am at the stage where we are considering this as my next move but there seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there. I am 35. Thank

After a year I have got a date for hysterectomy
Hello amazing ladies! I haven’t post for a while. I share long time ago about decision of hysterectomy. After waiting for more than a year I have got a date for it, but now I’m feeling so nervous about it. My op is on Monday 3rd July. Less than 8 day of warning so it was a huge surprise. Any tips

Endometriosis and Adenomyosis
Hi I have just been diagnosed with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. I have been having bad pain and bleeding for 3 years now and saw a gynaecologist who said it was because of a cyst. 3 years later and I saw a different consultant who sent me for an mri scan which showed that I have severe endometriosis

hey all, I posted last week regarding my mum who was awaiting her results. They had MDT on Thursday and called her straight in for 08:30am Friday to see gynae/onc consultant for results. They didn’t mention anywhere else on her CT other than what we already knew about the ovary so we are assuming

Which I had as i was diagnosed with Endometrial cancer, hysterectomy then several weeks later almost 5 weeks of

Endometriosis?
Hi everyone My journey is quite a lengthy one so I’ll attempt to shorten it by containing the most important info… when I was a teenager I had awfully painful, extremely heavy periods at times they would bring me to tears, this improved after having children but was still far from “normal” whatever

Awful day
So yesterday was the worst day I’ve had in a long time. I’ve been bleeding almost constantly since February. I’ve been on zoladex and now Prostap for 18 months. No improvement, in fact seems worse on Prostap. I get the letter no one wants, your smear test is due. Oh great can’t do that in my state. But

post hysterectomy issues?
I’ve just had a total hysterectomy because I had cancer. The surgeons assistant said there was a LOT of endometriosis stuck to everything. They had never diagnosed this (or indeed a second completely different cancerous tumour on my ovary) so now I’m thinking… what about the endometriosis? Is it all

Hi I have endometriosis and Adenomyosis I have been on waiting list for hysterectomy for about 15 months. I am 37 and I am feeling nervous about having the operation done. I don't have a date for op yet but I have my pre op tomorrow. Can anyone tell me their experiences if they have had a hysterectomy

What questions did you wish you’d asked before hysterectomy?
Hi All, I had excision surgery (BSGE surgeon) last autumn (pouch of Douglas, uterosacral ligament and uterine wall) and since spring this year the pain has returned. I’d been offered Zoladex or a hysterectomy, but i pushed for an MRI before making any decisions (the surgeon put me on the waiting list

Trapped wind!
Has anyone got any pearls of wisdom of how to get rid of this? Had for a while after my hysterectomy. Tried peppermint tea, peppermint tablets, chewing gum and of course moving around. It’s no joke, so painful 😓
