Abdominal cramping

Hello All. I am now six weeks post hysterectomy, heading for staging surgery next week after the discovery of ovarian cancer in addition to the endometrial cancer. For the last week I have been struggling with awful stomach cramps pretty much constantly. Sitting also makes me catch my breath and walking hurts my stomach too. My gp suggested buscopan but it hasn’t helped. Anybody experienced anything similar?

Hi there,

We're really sorry to hear you're going through this and in a lot of pain at the moment. Can we advise that you speak to your cancer team who are looking after you/did your surgery about this increasing stomach pain? Any worsening of symptoms or issues post-recovery should be reported back to them as they are managing your case.

If you have any other questions please do get in touch with us directly via nurse@eveappeal.org.uk

Wishing you all the best,

The Ask Eve Team
