A word of warning. This is false information but it's what I was told. I'm sharing this incase anyone has a covid risk assessment for work. I'm sure there are many software packages out there, which may give more accurate wording. I had a phone assessment. No big deal, my line manager had already supported

vision drops after injection
Does anyone know why vision drops after injection? Both my eyes got injected yesterday. Left eye vision is okay but right eye vision drops significantly. Should I contact the doctor? To be precise, I am sure my vision is dropped, not blurred. Btw, what I have is myopia related wet macular degeneration

Had surgery on June 22nd and I have stage 4 OC that doc described as aggressive
I asked doc if this a situation for palliative care and she responded that she wants to cure me. She said the OC has not invaded my bladder, but it was growing on the outside and she scraped the cancer cells off. She also examined the length of my colon and scraped off the cancer cells on the outside

W6R3... then injury!
Got within 60 seconds of completing the full 25 minutes, (boring, rather than exhausting) and I pulled a muscle in my calf!! Think I was trying to run faster downhill at the end; a) Jo Whiley told me to sprint if I can b) I’d run up 2 steep hills and wanted to make time up on my PB. Then the muscle

End of life
Hey guys it seems as my posts here will be short and sweet as my patient has been seen by his palliative care dr and been prescribed end of life medication. It fills me with sadness to know that there is nothing else left to do, I am so glad I have met my new friend and that for the past 7 months we

Has anyone switched injection medicine? My first post to you all.
I have a bleeding retina and have been getting Eylea injections for one year, 2 rounds of laser surgery and my vision keeps deteriorated. I feel sick for 1 to 2 days after each injection. I have asked to switch to Lucentis which is not as strong. Has anyone had any luck in switching medicine?

Pulmonary Fibrosis, irreversible and terminal,
I was diagnosed 12 March 2020, when lung function hadn't improved after recent bacterial infection. My lungs were already, very scarred, so this infection was the tipping point. Question is, as it is a unpleasant way to die, and already discussed with my GP, palliative care, it will get more painful

Why liver patients have such a hard time
I wanted to write this last night but I fell asleep. Nothing unusual there then!!!! In the last 2-3 years I have ‘visited’ one Consultant or another about some of my symptoms. The most valuable lesson I have learned, from so doing, is that the Liver Medical fraternity themselves are unable to fully

Dry tongue back pain
Just me again. 😩 I keep waking up with dry mouth in the middle of the night. My tongue is red irritated and slightly swollen. I’m worried this is a sign of something terrible and I can’t get back to sleep. Also my mid to lower back is hurting so much. I feel like I’m an old woman at age 37!

Shorty864 - Anne has lost her last battles
Dear ladies, I am so sorry to have to let you know that Anne, my Ovacome friend from Cornwall, has passed away this Sunday, 21 of June, at her lovely home. After waging many battles, including coming on the train to London with her husband last year for a second opinion from the Royal Marsden, as well

What medication do I stop before blood tests?
Having blood tests for thyroid function. I know not to take my levothyroxine before the test, but do I also need to stop vitamin b2? I take 400mg B2 and 80mg Propanalol to help prevent migraines, not sure if they will interfere with results? Thanks

Hi everyone
Was just wondering if you can take pregnenolone as this is supposed to help with arthritis or DHEA whilst on thyroxine. I am menopausal at the moment and read that these are the natural way and can help instead of HRT
