Hydrosalpinx

There is also an endometriosis cyst and hydrosalpinx present. My right ovary however couldn't be seen. I have had 3 scans within the last 3 months and both ovaries could be seen. The most recent scan was 6 weeks ago. He also said that he couldn't see any hydrosalpinx on the right hand side.

I am stage 4 with a cyst on either ovary (4cm and 5cm), adhesions, kissing ovaries and hydrosalpinx in one of my tubes. My surgeon is hoping to go in and remove a lot of the endo, unstick my ovaries and remove the tube with hydrosalpinx.

both my tubes have hydrosalpinx (the left more severe than the right) and my doctor recommended taking both tubes out before starting ivf. Wanted to see if there are any other women going through the same with bilateral hydrosalpinx

I also have an cyst on my ovary, possibly a hydrosalpinx affecting my fallopian tube which they want to remove when I have my laparoscopy. Has anyone had back passage bleeding with endo but had a clear colonoscopy?

Also interested if anyone would be willing to share any experience of having a hydrosalpinx? I'm struggling a lot with lower back pain and trying to gauge if this is the cause 🤔 Thanks for reading 📚

The consultant discovered that my right fallopian tube is swollen and diagnosed a hydrosalpinx, he asked me if anyone had flagged this before (they haven't and nor did the first dr who scanned me today). He said I couldn't have further IVF until this is sorted.

i have hydrosalpinx in both tubes and am getting them removed before ivf but worried it might reduce my ovarian reserve

Hi there all I have a hydrosalpinx which is 6cm and they don't seem to be so fussed about removing it.. I also have possible endometriosis due to a uterus repair surgrey in 2021 ... the ultrasound picked up my hydrosalpinx it was 4cm n now it is nearly 6cm 2months after..

After the cycles, I am on a list to have my fallopian tubes removed (due to the hydrosalpinx). I would recover from that and then go over to Spain a few months later for embryo transfer. My stress levels are quite high at the moment.

I have done hydrosalpinx surgery to cut apart of ovarian tube. Pls give me your advices. I’m worried about ovarian cancer. Thank you.

They may cut the tubes because of possible Hydrosalpinx and if damaged. I can try IVF after this they've told me , I'm just worried are they going to keep my eggs and use them for the IVF process when they may be healthy? Or chucked them away just because my tubes may be damaged?

Throughout the IVF process, I couldn't stop researching the dangers of hydrosalpinx on the embryo and this really worried me.

hi there I have had hydrosalpinx which they said it’s coz of endo and a the endo specialist had a look at my use results and said it’s 99 percent endometriosis….

Over the next few weeks I managed to get an ultrasound that immediately diagnosed a unilateral hydrosalpinx and then after an MRI to seemingly confirm this come May, I was left to wait for a plan.

I’ve had ERA/EMMA/ALICE testing done and earlier this year I had a hydrosalpinx removed.

I am 36, have endometriosis, very low AMH, hydrosalpinx in both tubes. My plan was to have 2 rounds of egg collection, tube removal and then embryo transfer but it hasn't proven as easy as that. In August 2024, I was really sick and in hospital.

A few months ago we thought we were doing the transfer then found out I had hydrosalpinx in one of my tubes, which I had to get removed and this delayed our 4 year journey by another 3 months because we had to wait for a referral on the nhs.
