Hi Hun thanks for Ur reply ... Do u get pain along side it ..?? If so where is the pain .. I have pain in my left pelvic back and sometimes legs ... I think it's more than hydrosalpinx ... My gynae thinks it's endometriosis and yesterday she prescribed me the mini pill

Sorry I should have said, it’s one of a number of issues I have as I have stage 4 endo and also adenomyosis and tethering of organs and bowel involvement so my hydrosaplinx is a result of endo in the tubes I think. So it’s not really possible to understand what symptom is from the hydrosalpinx individually. I do get a lot of lower back pain but that’s fairly typical with stage 4 endometriosis. I’m assuming they are exploring more with you for an endometriosis diagnosis if it’s suspected?

I got sent for an ultrasound by my GP which showed what they thought was a tubo ovarian mass plus endometriomas and other bits. So they referred me on again. I had a private ultrasound in the meantime to understand what was going on and they diagnosed severe endo and adenomyosis. I then took that to my NhS gynae referral and they ordered an MRI which showed further detail and bowel involvement. Now waiting for a BSGE appointment and to understand my options for treatment.

I've got this on top of everything else. Are there particular symptoms relating to this? It's blood in the fallopian tubes isn't it? I just thought it was an extra complication.

What's Ur symptoms please and did they pick it.on a ultrasound ,??? Thanks for Ur reply ☺️

They won't pick this up in an ultra sound as far as I know. You need an MRI with dye to see it properly. I have stage 4 endometriosis, cysts. Adenomyosis and fibroids so I have no idea what the symptoms of this extra complication are but I haven't got children x

Hi, yes I have one along with other endo issues, waiting on a long waiting list for an operation. What’s your question?

I want to know if it's normal to feel pain on the side where the hydrosalpinx is and what Ur symptoms are

It’s difficult for me to differentiate what pain is from what. I have large cysts and endometriomas, I have kissing ovaries and endometriomas on my bowel and pelvic floor, rectum etc., so all pain is sort of merged into one. I do often have right side pain (where the hydrosalpinx is), but I also have the largest cyst on that side too. Sorry.. Unhelpful answer!

They didn’t pick it up on ultrasound but did on the MRI.

I’m so, so sorry to hear that. I can’t imagine what you’ve gone through.

If they’ve diagnosed a hydrosalpinx that could be the pain, I would have thought they’d have picked up on cysts or endometriomas in the ultrasound.

I think it's more likely to be a cyst if you have pain. Have you had an MRI scan?

No.. nor MRI yet .. they want to rescan me with an ultrasound
