HC always best for treating adrenal fatigue?
I hope it's ok to ask questions about adrenal fatigue here. I have been on Medrol for the past three years for adrenal fatigue (prescribed by a Hertoghe doctor). I was told the reason I could not take hydrocortisone (HC) was because I tended to retain fluid (this was when I was still on T4 drugs only

adrenal fatigue treatment?
I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, and have been on Medrol since 2011. I have tried to wean off it several times, so far without success. The only thing I've managed to do was to go from 6 mg to 4 mg daily. Years ago, I was on Isocort, and did great on it. That was before I had been officially

Tapering - taking lower dose morning or evening and why?
Hi wonderful folk 12,000 miles away. When I eventually start my slow, dead slow tapering plan as per PMRpro's information, would the lower dose best be taken in the morning or late afternoon? Which ever it is please explain why, so I have better understanding. Presently still 15mg x 2 hydrocortisone

Simultaneous delivery of highly diverse bioactive compounds from blend electrospun fibers for skin wound healing
Fascinating that the researchers here even thought to use vitamin C, vitamin D3, hydrocortisone and, wait for it, T3, to produce fibres that can be used for wound healing. Starts to read as if they have been reading here on HU TUK! :-) Where else do you see that selection being discussed, albeit not

Steroid withdrawal
My 19 year old son is going through steroid withdrawal after years of using 2% steroid cream & other lotions prescribed by his well meaning doctor. My son is refusing to even use Aveeno cream now, as he is convinced his body needs a total break form using anything. His skin is raw & weeping & his bed

Blood results any input welcome
Hi, I have just paid for a full thyroid panel with genova as I wanted my RT3 tested, I would be grateful for any insight into the results. The background is I have been hypo since 1994 and was on t4/t3 combo under NHS until got m.e four years ago. Last year I went T3 only, two stress tests also showed

Reduced calories and excema flare up.
Since reducing my calories my excema has flared up. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm sticking to roughly 1400 calories per day and that has been the only change in my lifestyle. Doctor doesn't know why it has flared up....he says I'm the best judge of my excema. Now on steroid cream and lots of

Discoid Eczema/Nummular Dermatitis Advice
Hi everyone, I'm basically after management advice here, although I'll explain my condition first. I've suffered from a skin condition for a few years now. After the standard back and forth on the GP pathway, I eventually had a photo consultation with a Dermatologist who diagnosed it as being Discoid

Spots and aches
Okay so I'm not sure if this is related to my thyroid but is my main reason for looking into my condition more recently after being managed on just levothyroxine for years. But in the last year I've had these spots appear on my right breast, at first there were only three that wouldn't heal but over

Advice on how to swap T4 for T3 and Prednsiolone for Hydrocortisone using CT3M
Hi, I'm going to try T3 only as I'm not getting full well taking T4/T3. I take 18.75mcg T4 and 16.25mcg T3 CT3M dose and another 2.5mcg split into two doses, but I don't think I've got that dose right. I think I would have to take an extra 5mcg T3 and wondered if anyone knew if this was right. Also

Itchy little spots after eating
Hi there, the last few weeks l have had small spots appear on my tummy and arms and back - not more than 10 altogether but they get very itchy and angry 20 minutes after eating. It is making me miserable and had normal blood test results. If l don't eat the spots are like dormant and don't bother me,
