New diagnosis of prediabetes
Evening everyone! Just joined this forum but have been on the British Lung Foundation forum for a good few years. Ive just been diagnosed as above - Hb1Ac = 44. Probably steroid induced as I have severe copd, asthma and bronchiectasis which has required a large amount of IV hydrocortisone for pneumonia

Hello!
This is my first time here and I’ve had a case of something which the doctors think is ringworm on my right arm, around my elbow area. Once this was discovered, my lips have been wrinkled, chapped, and cracking for nearly a year. I’m still very young and I would love to get help. It’s made me very insecure

Lubion issues
Ok I last injected on Thursday and got a BFN on Friday. However today I have exploded. The swelling is insane, I’ve got stretch marks just from the swelling and feel like I’m on fire. My stomach is rock hard and quite a bit of pain. Currently icing it with ice packs to reduce swelling and pain, and applied

Rash ever connected with haemochromatosis?
Hi. I've been plagued with itchy, raw 'rashes' round my eyes and along my collarbone for about 6 months now. I finally gave in and went to my docs, convinced I had psoriatic arthritis, because I also have very high levels of muscular & Joint pain. I got a referral to a rheumatologist and my doc did blood

Changing from Prednisone to Hydrocortisone
I am in remission for at least 6 years, Vasculitis (MPA) have gone from 6mg Prednisone to 20mg Hydrocortisone, I became really ill quite quickly and it was upped to 25mg Hydrocortisone. I am still in quite a lot of pain and stiffness along with low mood. Has anyone else had this experience, if so how

Scarring alopecia and SLE lupus?
I have SLE lupus, at the moment just on hydroxychloroquine. About 8 months in I think I have had my first flare. Feeling shivery, noticeable hair loss and pain in muscles. I also have a bald patch on the crown the size of a penny which the doctor said today is scarred (so presumably won’t grow back)

SMP
Hi everyone! I'm interested in having SMP but meanwhile I've been prescribed steroid cream, to use for a month, just in case it will kick start regrowth. Is there any risk that use of steroid cream will affect my scalp's ability to tolerate SMP? Also any hints and tips on SMP and practitioners would

Inverse psoriasis & arthritis?
Hi, I've had problems with vaginal itching for almost a year and facial itching/burning and 'rash' for about 6 months. I have problems with flushing, which were greatly aggravated by a short course of steroids and the skin on my face hasn't been right since. I assumed rosacea but the 'rash' on my face

Side effects
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same and looking for some advice. Last week I’d had three attacks in the space of a week that resulted in A&E treatment with salbutamol, atrovent, hydrocortisone, magnesium and pred tablets. I’ve had an attack free week and have finished the pred now

Taking Hydrocortisone with NDT - Timing of Hydrocortisone doses
Currently taking 3 grains of Armour Thyroid at 7am along with 5mg Hydrocortisone. I then take another 5mg Hydrocortisone at 11am. My GP has now increased my daily Hydrocortisone from 10mg to 15mg but has written on the prescription to take 10mg in the morning and 5mg at night. Does anyone else take

Central hypothyroidism, is my thyroid working at all? Pituitary Does not produce TSH, so does Synthroid make it work
So, I’m really confused as to what my thyroid is doing these days... As my pituitary has definitely taken a holiday (diabetes insipidus, central hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency) I’m wondering if meds I take for the three conditions interact with each other? Diabetes insipidus. Desmopresson spray
