A
, Try stretching the skin
B
, Apply some kind of topical

How to add T4 back into T3 only
I followed up with my doctor this past Thursday regarding my ongoing problems I previously posted about. Definitely thinks the high liver enzymes are from the hydrocortisone and just wants to watch them since all liver scans and fancy liver tests were normal. However, she thinks my ongoing abdominal

When to experiment with coming off Levothyroxine due to side effects and need and timing of tests to confirm if required or not
Hi I’ve posted here before. I’m on levothyroxine following borderline TSH and Free T 4 results when it was discovered I had a cyst pressing on my pituitary gland (and stretching my optic nerve). The cyst has been removed/reduced in size. I was originally put on hydrocortisone but my cortisol levels

Hydrocortisone cream vs. pills
Hi everyone! Following up on my post from yesterday… considering the hydrocortisone pills might be causing the stomach pain (maybe gastritis) and elevated liver enzymes. I need the hydrocortisone for secondary adrenal insufficiency. It’s the only way I can tolerate any thyroid hormone. My question is

scar on penis
Hello there. Some time ago I had a problem with inflammation on my penis glans. I used unwisely a steroid cream on it and that caused burns. They healed a bit (it is ca. 3 weeks from it now) but I still have some discoloration and kind of star tissue forming. I'm really worried that it won't go off

Switching from Hydrocortisone to Prednisolone
Hi, I've been taking Hydrocortisone for secondary adrenal insufficiency since 2017 after partial removal of a craniopharyngioma. I've been experiencing more fatigue and poor sleep issues recently and it was suggested that I could trial Prednisolone to see it it helped. I wondered if anyone has switched

UPDATE on PMR coming back
I will try to make this as short as possible. I saw my pulmonologist on Thursday and then saw my rheumatologist on Friday. I felt like I was gaslighted by my pulmonologist who said I just needed to give myself more time to her over Covid. However after seeing my rheumatologist she apparently got with

Steroids impacting blood results?
Hi there, I’m new here and am currently on the merry-go-round of trying to find a diagnosis for long-term chronic health issues. (Chronic debilitating fatigue, joint pain, cognitive dysfunction, plus whole host of other weird stuff). Currently under the care of an endocrinologist and a very good GP

Thyroid Dermopathy in an Unusual Location
When something catches my eye, there's always a chance someone else will find it of some interest. Am wondering if any members think they too have had atypical thyroid dermopathy? [i]

Disappointing cortisol blood test
Hello everyone After a 9am cortisol blood test result of 240, I was switched from 4mg prednisolone to 25mg hydrocortisone spread over three doses eight weeks ago to try and get my adrenal glands working properly again. Just had another 9am cortisol test and it was only 40. I am very surprised as I thought

Posthitis
Hi I have had a red foreskin for months now. No marks or redness elsewhere just the bit that goes under the base of the tip. It's not itchy or sore just red.its localised to this part of the penis. I have had anti biotics fore other things like ear infections that were penicillin based and also prescribed

It's not working.
At the third attempt to reduce Prednisolone down the Osteoradionecrosis in my Right jaw has flared up causing intense pain, sleeplessness and inability to eat. The great Vision of my various professionals is for me to reduce to 5mg and then commence Hydrocortisone 5mg morne/10mg nocte as apparently Hydrocortisone

Eczema
Hi James Following is a copy of an email I posted some 5 years ago relating to the success I had in curing my eczema. Sadly I received no replies from other sufferers so I have no idea if I am the only person to benefit from my fortunate cure. If you are interested I would suggest immediately trying

Will increasing my HRT dose cure my itch legs as it did for Caroline Noakes MP.
I heard the MP Caroline Noakes on Radio 2 last week discussing how she had cured her problem with itching legs that were so bad that she drew blood when scratching them. The cure involved increasing her dose of HRT until the itching stopped. I use HRT and suffer from the same itchy legs problem for
