Hi I have had a red foreskin for months now. No marks or redness elsewhere just the bit that goes under the base of the tip. It's not itchy or sore just red.its localised to this part of the penis. I have had anti biotics fore other things like ear infections that were penicillin based and also prescribed hydrocortisone cream and also tried thrush cream but nothing affects it. It's definitely posthitis. I have not been with anyone or been exposed to any harmful chemicals etc. I'm a bit stressed 52 a bit overweight don't smoke or drink. I mentioned it when I went to walk in for my ear infection and the nurse didn't examine it but said it would be treated with the hydrocortisone cream. If anything it's made it worse. I am normal with daily showers etc. I have had blood tests recently as been run down and all were normal except a vitamin D deficiency. Any help would be most useful. Many thanks

Hi Europa have you been checked for diabetes? It can be associated with penis inflammatory issues.

Hi. Thanks for replying. Yes I'm normal with blood sugar. My BP etc is all ok too.

I’m no expert but maybe this problem requires a dermatologist opinion? Sorry not to be more useful.

Cortisone is exactly the wrong treatment. Go back to thrush cream only. Do not wash with soap.

Perhaps best make an appointment to see your doctor….the nurse obviously wasn’t interested 🤷‍♂️
