paroxysmal AF and flying
hi. Can anyone here give me some advice and hopefully some reassurance please. I’ve had AF since being diagnosed August 2022. First episode on the night coming home from a very strenuous and incident filled 2 week motor home ‘holiday’ in Scotland. Our first and probably our last. Not very restful!

Trimix with atrial fibrillation meds
I received HDR Brachy and 25 EBRT treatments 3 years ago. My PSA has been negligible since then. I was discharged from the hospital yesterday, after an arterial flutter, my first heart problem ever. I was discharged with amiodarone (Pacerone), apixaban (Eliquis), losartan (Cozaar), and metropol succinate

👋 bad experience with indapamine.
My g.p recently added Indapamine to my blood pressure medication, I also take losartan and lercanidipine. I felt ill for 14 days and after a blood test I was sent to A and E for emergency treatment, a potassium and sodium drop overnight and tablets to take at home for 7 days. I still feel ill and had

Seeking advice on burning feet symptom and an endocronoligist recommendation in London
Hi everyone. Over the last two years I’ve learnt so much from this site and I’m very grateful. I’m looking for some advice relating to my hypothyroid symptoms. I was diagnosed nearly three years ago and am taking 50mg of Teva. My symptoms arrived suddenly, and I still have bouts of anxiety and depression

Hi - this is just a curiosity question: I get monitored fir Mycophenolate 3 monthly. A long time ago I was misdiagnosed with Rheumatoid and this was due to high ESR and raised CRP with swollen hands. The rheumatologist ignored other symptoms and signs such as sudden onset of Raynaud’s and sicca and it

Blood Pressure Disaster
I posted this in the Kidney forum but wanted to get the Heart folks opinions too. I have been taking blood pressure medication for many years and after lots of experimentation by doctors I believed it was finally under control. I went to my nephrologist a month ago and the reading was 118/76. I

Advice on taking Naproxine with Pred
As I flagged up last week - was diagnosed with Bursitis on the right hip. X-ray was done and no fractures found which was such a relief. Prescribed Naproxine 250 mg twice a day and paracetamol if pain got over the top. I also take thryroxine 75 mg and 100mg on alternate days and Losartan 25mg. Magnesium

Change in Blood Pressure Meds a Disaster
I went to my nephrologist two weeks ago. They took my BP and it was absolutely perfect - 118/62 which is hard to believe because my BP is usually high in the doctor's office. At the time, I was taking 10 mg of Amlodipine (maximum dose) and 100 mg of Metoprolol. I was SOOOOO happy! So the nephrologist

Pros and Cons of Lipitor
My doctor has prescribed 20mg of Lipitor (1 tab/day). I haven't started using it yet. I am at stage 3 a/b CKD, prediabetic, with high blood pressure meds (Maxide, Losartan, and Atenolol). My cholesterol is not high, but I believe Lipitor is being used as prevention since I am almost 73 years old. I

What Meds ?
I've been A-Fibbing for nearly 10 years permanent. First medication was Amiodarone swelling of ankles and fatigue came off after a few months. Next up was Bisoprolol extreme fatigue. Told the GP I felt better off off of it so he said stop taking it if you want. I take Apixaban and Losartan. The latter

Is it bad for you to just wait out an Afib spisode.
Over the last month I went into Afib 6+ times. The first one lasted about 12 hours. The next 3 I ended up in emergency and they had to cardiovert me. The 5th time lasted 24 hours. The 6th time, however, lasted 5 days. But I was so fed up with sitting in emergency for 12 hours and getting my chest blasted

Losartan with NASH
I was just diagnosed with high blood pressure and was prescribed Losartan 25 mg. My NASH score is F-3 S2 from a biopsy. I was also diagnosed with a reflux on my right leg (vericose veins). Is anyone taking Losartan with a NASH diagnosis? I don’t want to take anything that’s going to injure my liver

Tinnitus unbearable
Hi everyone, I'm having an awful time with Tinnitus. I've been taking, buspirone, just weaned off Pregabalin, blood pressure not staying stable,so gp changed my script from Losartan to Irbesartan plus lercanidipine which I was already on,I feel that the new meds are responsible, I obviously won't stop

Anyone being treated with Farxiga? Looking for feedback please!
Hi everyone I have a Stage 4 CKD diagnosis. Specifically AA Amalydosis. I had no idea what I was dealing with until I ended up hospitalized last November. Since then I have been working with a primary doc, nephrologist and dietician. The goal is to help my kidneys and get my numbers looking better.
