Help please
Hi guys, I need some help please, I'm nicely down to 3 1/2mg of pred for the last 10 weeks, but I have a problem which I don't know if it's PMR related. I wake up about every 20 to 30 mins at night and stretch out tight until my calves cramp up. I've been like this for months now and I have now started

Mystery pain in little toe.
I'm desperate for an answer and hopefullyu solution to the pain I get in my right little toe. I've been tested or uric acid so gout is ruled out. Tingly pain with or without shoes which travels up the nerve? on the outside of foot and past the ankle.

Swelling in knee
Hi all I occasionally have swelling in my left knee, it's painful, stiff and itches. I have been given arcoxia 90mg by my doctor and it doesn't seem to be going down, it actually feels like it's swelling more. I'm trying to rest but really cannot afford time off work. Any ideas how to help the swelling

Apixaban and Antibiotics
Has anyone taken Apixaban with the antibiotic Amoxicillin Trihydrate? I am interested in whether the antibiotic over increases the effectiveness of Apixaban, or whether there are any other potential impacts? Thanks. TerryW.

Been on hydroxycarbamide since July following suspension of plebotomy. Initially my 500mg a day seemed to have no side effects but worryingly in the last monthor so i seem to be plagued with bone pains which sees to come from nowhere and severe gout attacks(knee and feet). I have been taking Allopurinol

The Jackpot at last. Jakavi approved
I have been approved to commence on Jakavi which I hope is good news and a relief. I am just waiting for my latest blood results before starting. Platelets should come in at somewhere around 500. My dilemma is that my Haem has asked me to continue my current dose of anagrelide (4mg per day) indefinitively

Osteoarthritis and Gout
Hello All, Well, as I don't EVER do things by half, I've recently managed to "acquire" Osteoarthritis AND Gout. Neither of which I would wish on my worst enemy! After 5 weeks of an extremely painful knee I've now started with my (2nd) bout of gout (in my toes). I've been given Colcocine (hopefully

My husband had a repeat blood test last week so disappointed to-day when our G.P. said his CKD had dropped again in less than a month from 35 to 27. Also blood count 103 from 120. He thinks the 2 weeks of allopurinol to hopefully prevent gout attacks maybe caused this so no more allopurinol. Our area

Suggestion for Research
I would like to target the several steps of the platelet production process characteristic of ET. This process has several steps, each of which can be partially thwarted, giving my body several chances to avoid making too many platelets: 1) TPO production. 2) Differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells

Evil wasp!
My other half is used to me grimacing and moaning as we go about, having been diagnosed with RA over a year ago. However, we have been on holiday and things have been pretty good, coping with walks and generally feeling ok. Until yesterday, when a stripy little b@gger stung me on the top of my foot,
