Anyone have ET diagnosis with normal BMB
I've posted a few times and still in no man's land (hopefully it will get better on my second haem appointment on 22nd). So far: ET possible - no secondary causes for thrombocytosis (everything normal which is great) ;platelets hovering around 500; previous pulmonary embolism at age 18 - 20 years ago

Best laser for prostate surgery while on Eliquis?
Has anybody had any experience with a laser Turp while on Eliquis? I had a prostate resection 10 years ago, ( no PAF then) and it was a quite bloody affair, with 4 days of catheterized bladder washing. I filled tens of colored water bags with the draining of my blood loss. Now I have to do a Turp

Neuropathy and MGUS
Hi all I was diagnosed with neuropathy over a year ago although they couldn't find what is causing the problem. From one of the blood tests it was discovered I have MGUS. Haematologist doesn't think it is connected but I'm wondering if anyone else has this. Thanks for any help in advance.

Maybe we should all get a cholera vaccine.
" Table 1. After a mean age of 7.2 years and accumulated 6033 person-years of follow-up, 29 of them had died due to prostate cancer, giving a mortality rate of 4.8 per 1000 person-years, whereas the rate was 22.5 for those patients who did not use cholera vaccine. Dutasteride & Abiraterone. The rewrite.
All quotes are from the papers cited in yesterday's confusing: "Dutasteride [Avodart] & Abiraterone [Zytiga]?" 1] "Abiraterone is metabolized in patients to D4A" (Δ4-abiraterone) 2] D4A "has even greater anti-tumor activity" than Abiraterone 3] but "D4A is converted to ... 3-keto-5α-abi" (by 5alpha

Madopar Advice
Need advice on those taking Madopar (or similar). My main symptoms rigidity in back and legs - with a continuous cramp in my feet. I take 125mg x 3 times per day. I really only feel "off" after I take the Madopar. About 20-40 mins after taking the tablet I get serious cramps in back/legs/feet for a period

Read this on Apixaban
A major criticism of the NOACs concluded that there was no way to “reverse” the blood thinning effect in patients who were actively bleeding. That particular limitation for Eliquis has now recently changed. Andexanet alfa was designed to reverse the blood thinning effects of factor Xa inhibitors. Recently

High LDH
Hi all, I’m trying not to freak out on this Christmas Eve. I have Myelofibrisis for the last 5 years. I’m on wait and watch with aspirin. I just had labs done which show my LDH is 2450. I see on previous labs 2 years ago it was 780. From what I’m reading that sounds like leukemia. Does anyone have it
