Nasal / Sinus problems and Bad Smell?
I just wanted to ask about this, as had pain in the nose/cold only on the right side, (which has since gone) all round the eyes, and top of the nose, which I am guessing is Sinusitis? The odd thing is, is that all I can smell is what can only be described as 'cow sh*t' whenever I blow my nose, or sometimes

Anxiety or hormones?
I've been feeling light headed and off balance since being diagnosed hypothyroid years ago, could be meds side effects or the gland itself. I'm also post menopausal so low oestrogen. Allergies bung up the eustachian tunes cause imbalance. All of these can cause disequilibrium leading to anxiety. I had

I am now able to tolerate antibiotics again after my nerves healed
Hello! I just want to give this update about my situation. I hope people on here find this because my situation was a nightmare and I think this can help people who are confused and not sure what to do or if they'll ever be able to tolerate antibiotics again (TL;DR: you will be able to if you can heal

Periodontal Abscess while on Prednisone
Hello to the group. I have just developed an abscess on the gum of a tooth that had a root canal and crown done 2 years ago. I saw a different person in my dentist’s practice today who confirmed the abscess and said I should go back asap to the endodontist who did the original root canal for either

Covid and Blood Tests
Hello lovely people. I wasn't given the jab this year and I've recently had a pretty bad dose of Covid (four days of fever at 102, oxygen sats down to 92% at one point) and my heart rate went crazy and I had one episode of SVT briefly the first time I got out of bed after the fever. Only one, mind

Cardiovascular issues
Anybody out there with extra-cranial GCA / LVV, have any cardiovascular issues? I was having some shortness of breath, sleepiness & lightheadedness. I'm in the middle of testing for that, but a CAT scan showed I have a dilated aortic root and pericardial effusion. Those explained my symptoms, but neither

What is classed as a flare?
Hi, I was diagnosed in November, had a steroid injection and started on MTX, once the steroid started wearing off the pain and swelling in my knees returned straight away but not in my hands, they have been great. Had a load of fluid sucked out of my knee and another steroid injection about 6 weeks ago

Infections like pneumonia and sinus. Lessons learned.
I’m saddened and sorry for all those who have been suffering from pneumonia and respiratory infections. Been posted of late. As a physician who knows better, I wish I’d followed my on advice to do ALL of the following 1. Test right away for COVID 2. Get a complete viral nasal swab to be tested

Vestibular Neuritis
Hi everyone, I woke up on New Year's Day with the room spinning around me. Very scary! Diagnosed as vestibular neuritis. My question is, I usually self inject weekly which I have continued to do. I don't know if I'm imagining it but the vertigo symptoms seem to greatly improve for a couple of days

Severely bitter taste when eating & drinking - ?FostairNEXThaler
Wondering if anyone else has experienced a very bitter taste in the mouth - both whilst eating & drinking (& generally too) when taking FostairNEXThaler? I’ve recently been discharged home after another hospital admission (asthma exacerbation secondary to Covid) so the dysguesia may very well be Covid-related

friend has shingles - advice please
hi, Can I have some advice please. my friend who is a beautician is scheduled to do a facial & nails for me tomorrow. I’ve had chicken pox and her Dr has said she shouldn’t pass it in because it’s on her bottom and she won’t be touching it so in that respect it’s in a good place. Any thoughts? Thank
