Health visitor makes me feel like crap :(
Just a bit of a rant really. James is four months now. My health visitor suggested, and I'm saying suggested although she practically told me, that James needed to learn how to self soothe to go to sleep on a night. He's a breastfed baby and so frequently falls asleep on my chest and then I put him

Is it the weather?
Hi, I feel as if all the energy has been sucked out of me! It's been a nice sunny day but it was quite damp this morning. I got sob just putting some play equipment out at work this morning and needed extra puff of symbicort, since then my chest and upper back aches and find it difficult to string

Today was a bit of a biggy. I fell down the bottom third of the stairs. Both kids were home (son day off from college and daughters school had a yr 6 intake day) so at least I wasn't alone when it happened. Now have a bruised elbow and a sore arse. Thankfully nothing serious although as it was my left

Really not in a good place
My 9 yr old is saying he is not going to school because he wants to look after me. I'm not sure if he is telling the truth or not. I had a talk with my husband and told him some home truths, I still feel though it is all my fault for being like this. I've rung the doctors this morning and put a rocket

Possible First Symptom of PSP - Survey
I am interested in what PSP (only) sufferers or carers remember of the first symptom. Many descriptions of PSP symptoms seem to be generically written, and they suggest the first symptom is usually problems with balance/posture/gait/falls. Then they mention personality changes (e.g. apathy, aggression

Hi All. Joining the discussion late, but can understand the constipation issue - dread every treatment session as it is one of my worst side effects. Loads of water, Movicol and lots of prunes helped a little. But found a natural item: Ortisan Fruits & Fibre - from health food shops. It is made from

Haemodialysis complications?
Hi All, My mum started haemodialysis 4 months ago. Everything started really well, we all noticed a great imrovement in her. She was literally shrinking before our eyes as all the fluid was removed, this in turn helped her breathing, appetite, sleeping and mood. However, the last 6 weeks have been

REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL!
Part 1: I've just finished 4th line chemo, it's been really gruelling but I've managed to get through it. Part 2: My CA125 has gone down from over 1400 to just over 300 - not brilliant I know but I'm hoping it'll buy me a few months before symptoms start up again. Part 3: It's my 65th birthday today

A difficult day
Some of you may know my mum has end stage COPD, we nearly lost her a few weeks ago. She has deteriorated quite rapidly and now can't do anything at all without desperately struggling to breathe. She is now receiving palliative care at home, she has made the decision that she no longer wants to go into

Why do I feel fed up today?
I've been feeling quite good lately, although I've had depression for many years. I have had therapy and medication recently but I still have bad days. It is like a dark cloud has come over me and I don't know what to do. I'm off work at the moment as it is holiday time - I'm a teaching assistant and

Baby almost due but feeling blue
Hi to all the Mums to Be and Bumps. I've been following this site on and off during my pregnancy but never really thought to post anything before. I'm now 38+2 and getting ready to meet my baby girl or boy. Have been busy in the last few weeks preparing but just this weekend the nursery is finally finished

Coping with flashbacks from after my severe brain injury
