cholinergic urticaria (allergic to heat or cold/hives on temperature change)
I recall breaking out in
hives
if I walked into a heavily airconditioned space in the summer heat, or a took a hot shower in the winter. I was in college and remember getting
hives
all up and down my legs when wearing knee boots and sweating under them in the winter.

Transitioning from 150mcg of Thyroxine to Metavive help please
What prompted the switch: I recently started getting a lot of itching and
hives
on my arms particularly and other areas. I consulted a homeopath and found I was likely experiencing allergic reaction to Thyroxine. The treatment appears to have worked mostly.

It’s not for my asthma but is for cholinergic urticaria (
hives
/angioedema). If so I would like to know of your experience as I am scared to take it due to the side effects which sound awful!! Also worried as it’s an immunosuppressant and I might be vulnerable because I am severely asthmatic.

COVID Vaccination
I have a habit of having bad reactions to some medications, antibiotics, aspirin is deadly to me as closes my airways, even the iron tablets after my bypass made my legs swell with
hives
. Typing these words has just confirmed that I am so worried about having a reaction to the vaccine.

Anybody be seen by Dr Grattan for mcas?
Was thinking of booking a consultation as I suspect I may have mcas but I'm just not sure as he's a dermatologist and because my main symptoms is not
hives
he may disregard every as not the symptom of mcas.

Mystery swelling
I had thought it could be an allergy but there’s no contact rash or
hives
just internal swelling and all the time it seems.

I’ve been having a severe allergic reaction to something in my house and I can’t figure out what, anyways, this has caused welts and
hives
all over my body so I was prescribed Prednisone.

Advice needed please
It sounds bizarre I know but it's a condition that exists and means I break out in
hives
at the end of a run. So annoying as itching is maddening. I'm so pleased to have started running.. I'm 69 and really want to keep it up.

Angioedema and Hives
In addition, I’m now getting bouts of angioedema (swollen eyes, lips and tongue) and
hives
(mainly hands and feet) which are treated within a day with antihistamine, but will return again. So we have now swapped out the Ticagrelor for clopidogrel to see if there is an improvement.

Skin allergies
🤕 it's so irritating because I just keep scratching my skin and get
hives
eventually. I was told that the montelukast would help with that but it's not helping... What remedy can I use? Thank you. Merry Christmas to you all 🎄
