Cold Allergy?

Just wanting to ask if anyone has had a child or know or anyone with what seems like an allergy to the cold air? My son is 11 and just suddenly has started having a reaction to being in the cold air, his skin gets painful, itchy and red and also some small hives are visible, phoning the docs tomorrow to see what they say but just wanted any advice. Thanks in advance.

It can be a thing. No personal experience but I work in a school and know of a child there who has this and has allergy medicine from the Dr's for it.

I work with a girl who is allergic to the cold, she gets very itchy and comes out in rashes and blotches and it’s very uncomfortable for her, she is on anti histamines and they work well, see the gp as they will prescribe the anti histamines 👍
